What a waste of money on two Echo Shows. I primarily bought it as a rotating picture frame of my family, to read Kindle books and for listening to music. At first it was great. I have everything turned off under home content so that I always see a photo. Now there are 2 ads for every photo. There are days I don’t see a single photo. It’s an ad (sponsored content) every time I glance over. It no longer plays the $100+ music I’ve purchased. Instead it plays my purchased music along with other similar tracks! For the past two hours it’s been saying “Sorry something went wrong. Please try in a little while” or “Hmm something went wrong try again in a few minutes”. Despite unplugging numerous times and following all the trouble shooting. I’m so fed up! I’m just glad the ads started just as I was about to order the new Echo Show 8! Saved me money…

I linked Alexa with Pandora but then I tried to play Pandora playlists and I received a message stating: notifications not enabled, and the songs would not play. I don’t understand!

But….her app can be difficult to negotiate and I’m surprised with the lack of options with most tasks, and my devices often tell me she doesn’t support what I’ve set up in the app

I used to be able to visit my father via drop in for over an hour but since the update it unexpectedly drops calls after just a minute of use. After multiple times I just give up
  • Refuses to allow Apple Music

In addition to disconnecting Apple Music services at *least* once/month, many times it will not allow us to reconnect the service. There are a variety of errors, ranging from “the server could not be found,” “the Alexa app needs an update for this service to work,” and many times it will refuse to keep the default music service as Apple. It’s also fun when the robot decides it will not recognize my wife’s voice or allow us to play music with anything other than Amazon Music or Spotify, even when we specifically ask it to use a particular linked service. Did I mention it will not even respond to my wife many times and will only allow my voice?

A great way that I reach out to my kids. I just wish I was able to see them when calling on the Alexa.:)
