This app really makes it easy to manage my families accounts.

The older xbox consoles were easily set up for parental controls. I find the app cumbersome and with many work arounds for tech savvy kids. I set up my older consoles with built in controls in a matter of minutes. The newer consoles and app has taken me hours with lots of tutorials. It shouldn’t be this hard to protect your kids from filth.

Not a fan of Xbox. My son is though. Of course as a kid he will play and play unregulated if allowed. We downloaded this app to control screen time until he learns to be responsible enough to time it himself. Everyday, even though I have the time and days of the week set it blocks him out. 24+ hours will pass and it will be within the time window set on the schedule and it still blocks him out. So I’m constantly in the app doing what the app should be setting the system to do. This has only solidified my belief Xbox is a highly user unfriendly system. At least for me in my elderhood. This app needs work.

This app used to be great, way better than the Microsoft Family Safety app, until they decided to remove the ability to manage screen time across devices. This app ONLY applies to XBox screen time, if you need to manage PC screen time you have to do that separately in the Family Safety app making this app useless since I need to manage both. It’s a shame that there’s no way to go back to managing across devices, this app had so much potential.

Basically Microsoft wants your money but does not deliver product nor allow any sort of access to customer service.

Nothing ever works and it sends you in loops until you just flat out get error messages that make no sense

At the end of your Childs screen time limit it just tells them their time is up which is about as effective as it sounds
