Description

Whether you’re connecting with your community for an upcoming activity or working with teammates on a project, Microsoft Teams helps bring people together so that they can get things done. It’s the only app that has communities, events, chats, channels, meetings, storage, tasks, and calendars in one place—so you can easily connect and manage access to information. Get your community, family, friends, or workmates together to accomplish tasks, share ideas, and make plans. Join audio and video calls in a secure setting, collaborate in documents, and store files and photos with built-in cloud storage. You can do it all in Microsoft Teams. Easily connect with anyone: • Meet securely with communities, teammates, family, or friends. • Set up a meeting within seconds and invite anyone by sharing a link or calendar invite. • Chat 1-1 or to your entire community, @mention people in chats to get their attention. • Create a dedicated community to discuss specific topics and make plans*. • Work closely and collaborate by keeping conversations organized by specific topics and projects with teams and channels. • Video or audio call anyone directly in Teams or instantly convert a group chat to a call. • Use GIFs, emojis, and message animations to express yourself when words aren’t enough. Accomplish plans and projects together: • Send photos and videos in chats to quickly and easily share important moments. • Use cloud storage to access shared documents and files on the go. • Organize shared content in a community — events, photos, links, files —so you don’t have to waste time searching*. • Get the most out of your meetings by using screen share, whiteboard, or breakout in virtual rooms. • Manage access to information and ensure the right people have access to the right info, even when people join and leave projects. • Use task lists to stay on top of projects and plans - assign tasks, set due dates, and cross off items to keep everyone on the same page. Designed to give you peace of mind: • Securely collaborate with others while maintaining control over your data. • Keep communities safe by allowing owners to remove inappropriate content or members*. • Enterprise-level security and compliance you expect from Microsoft 365**. *Available when using Microsoft Teams with your Microsoft account. **Commercial features of this app require a paid Microsoft 365 commercial subscription or a trial subscription of Microsoft Teams for work. • Meeting Controls Overlay

I thought it was a glitch but apparently now it’s a feature that the controls during a team meeting overlay people’s videos so you can now see neither the controls or their faces. Who came up with this design?
  • Issue with iPad UX

The formatting for the icons during calls on the iPad is all messed up on horizontal. Really frustrating having to restart meetings vertically. Come on Microsoft team
  • Worst app on my phone

This is really bad. Confusing, clunky and always has an issue when I need it. I dread every time someone schedules online meetings with this piece of cr*** instead of zoom.

I don’t even want to open the app because the font is so large

Would never use it if not for work. Why would you separate chats with channels? Just go and copy slack at least if you don’t have a talent of your own.
  • Missing Basic Functionality and Does Not Respect Notification Settings

How do you make a calendar app without any way to setup notifications for meetings *before* they start?! This is literally one of the most basic pieces of functionality a calendar app should provide. It would also be really nice to see some thought put into the rest of the notification settings. For instance, it’s useful to be notified if a conversation starts up in the chat. What’s not useful is being pinged every 5 seconds in the middle of a large meeting because a couple people are chatting. How hard would it be to add just a tiny but of intelligence here rather than having chat notifications either fully on or off? It really feels like the people who design Teams, both the Mac and iOS app, don’t use their own product. Either that, or management just doesn’t care much about quality when they’re able to sell Teams as part of Office to nearly every business out there regardless of quality. And to add to that, Teams is now apparently resetting personally configured notification settings so that it can advertise Microsoft features on your phone's home screen. Microsoft, this app exists to integrate with your enterprise Office suite, not as an advertising platform for "Academies" that aren't even accessible via iOS!
  • Useless

    By this was garbage
Half the time it can’t even start, when it does it’s a nightmare to use. Amazing how Microsoft manages to struggle with UI and other basic concepts.
  • Notifications Don't Work

This app is necessary for work, but it's impossible to know when work is messaging because it doesn't give any notifications ever. I've checked all settings and I'm not the only person with the issue. Microsoft, fix it already.

Forcing me to download your stupid app rather than letting me use my browser saying a valid link is invalid.

Garbage app that updates every other day and includes a fun new bug each time. Microsoft at its best! Also, this Microsoft app doesn’t work well with other Microsoft apps, just so you’re aware. Try it on your Microsoft Windows device. It’s still garbage!
