    I already have other apps that can convert video files under normal circumstances. However I have some ".mov" videos that were downloaded years ago (probably in a web browser on Snow Leopard, not sure)… videos that were created using a plugin called Flip4Mac that I no longer have. They will not play, and will not convert to a playable format, in any program that I have now (on High Sierra, 10.13.6). I was hoping from all the glowing reviews here that Free MP4 Converter could convert them to something useful. Nope. It claimed to convert them to .mp4 in just a few seconds, which seemed strange because the originals are multi-megabyte files… but the resultant ".mp4" files were just a few KB in size, and completely unplayable in any player or browser that I have, just like the .mov files were. As far as I can tell, this program is useless. Deleted.

    🟩What is not to like. 🟩This apps score is underated! 🟩Seeing the rating of this app reminds me not to trust the reviews and do my Own Research! This App sits on my MBP (macbook pro) and does the work when I need it without having to upload the host file to the internet ✔️ All the others is tried cost like $50 or had monthly subscription fees, this app does is Free and is there when I need it and does not require internet ✔️ Highly adjustable outputs give me just the size of converted Mp4 I want ✔️ Fabulous App! Thank You!

    All I really wanted was to quickly convert QuickTime .mov to .mp4 for uploading to the web, mainly recordings taken from the screen recording feature built into macOS, and it seems to do that fine. It doesn't have a lot of features, but for me that's a good thing, I don't need lots of features cluttering up the experience. As of when I've written this review (June 5th, 2023), the app is still only an Intel app, but it seems to work perfectly fine on my M1 Mac mini.

    They changed their whole platform without keeping all users in mind. Now this is more of a windows based app that does not convert Mov's to mp4's without jumpy lines on the screen. I wish I could get my money back!
