Description

Waking up you’re alone, confused, hungry, and a little sad - just your usual Monday morning really - but wait, what’s that sound? Oh f**k no, they’ve only gone and done it. The machine’s been activated. Equipped with just your wits and a prototype Chronologically Aware Memory Enhancement and Recall Appliance, or C.A.M.E.R.A. for short, you’re now in a race against time to shutdown the machine before the loop resets. Solve puzzles, read strategically placed notes, press buttons, potentially die, and hopefully escape the worst Monday you’ve had in at least a week. Rinse repeat. The second instalment in the Glitch Broken Dreams Collection, Recursion is a compact mystery game chock-full of puzzles, secrets, and questions. Features: • A first person point and click adventure game. • A time-loop mechanic. • A time-loop mechanic. • A time-loop mechanic. • Trademark Glitch humour and puzzles that will leave you screaming at us. • Absolutely no adverts or in app purchases. • The Glitch Camera to help you solve puzzles and keep track of clues. • Lots of clues to find and puzzles to solve. • A beautiful soundtrack and immersive sound effects. • A full Hint System to help you if you get stuck. • 8 save slots, share the game with your family! • Auto-saves your progress! – Glitch Games is a tiny independent ‘studio’ from the UK. • One of my favorite game makers, but probably won’t finish this one

I just don’t want to do the same puzzles over and over again to get back to where I was each time I tap something that ends the game. Some might like that. I prefer to just be able to explore without worrying about having to redo everything.
  • 4.5 stars maybe?

I love Glitch games, I love the stories, the care and humor in the writing, the puzzles. I have bought every single one they charged for. This is the first game of theirs that has ever felt tedious at some point. The triangle, circle, square boxes, and the timing felt, for me, like jumping through hoops. I love challenging puzzles but this part was finicky and annoying. I haven’t finished the game yet because of it and possibly I’ve stopped caring? Glitch is one of the best creators of adventure puzzle story games, and if I could give 4.5 stars for this one, I probably would. I’ll definitely check out whatever they put out next though. =)
  • UPDATED REVIEW—Please add a setting to remove the time loop.

Thank you so much for updating the game to include this setting! 🙏 Loving the game now! Five stars 🤗 **** As a person with ADD, this setting with the timer gives me anxiety and I don’t want to play. Otherwise it’s a good game so far.
  • Loved it, just too short

Love Glitch! Interesting concept in this game, I started at three minutes for the first two sections, but went to ten minutes for the third. I always use the camera, but in this game it was needed! Love their humor, but the logic and challenges are perfect for my level of play which I would say is slightly advanced. Can’t wait for the next!
  • Thank you for the unlimited time option..

.. it makes all the difference. Timed play just isn’t why I became a Glitch fan in the first place. Timing didn’t feel like your signature somehow. This is much better. Loving the updated version!
  • So much love

Glitch is one of the best developers out there, and this game is another fun and unique experience. It’s shorter than many of their games, but still took me most of a day to solve and was well worth the money. My only problem with Glitch is that they don’t put out games fast enough, leaving me to compulsively check their website all year to see when I can get my next fix. Love, love, love you guys.

Have been playing Glitch Games for years. Another great puzzle, I wish it were longer!
  • Good as usual but as a long time fan, I expect more :)

Overall, I liked it but it was too short In more details, let me share some context first. I have been a fan of your games for years. I have played all of them. Some several times. I pre-ordered your last 3 games. I don’t really check the price and I am just happy to pay for your hard work. I am always excited to see what you come up with and as usual it was good. I didn’t really care about the time loop component but your humor and creative puzzles were great. The hint system is very good too. That being said, this is now the third time in a row where I am a bit disappointed, every time for the same two reasons. I still rated the game 5 stars because I want you guys to do great but here are my two minor « complaints ». 1) The game is rather short. Around 3 hours for me. This is much much shorter than your initial games like Forever Lost or Veritas to name a few. 2) The story is very limited. I like the fact that there is always some unknowns but there is very little backstory so it is hard to care about the game besides the puzzle component. Once again, there used to be much more story before. Examples: Forever Lost, All That Remains… but I was glad to go back to the Veritas « world ». So my gentle ask is: please tell longer, richer stories in addition to your creative, funny puzzles. I will gladly pay more. Ideally sequels to Veritas, All That Remains but it might be too much to ask :) Thanks again for your games. It is always a joy to play them!
  • Another Glitch smasher!

There aren’t many other developers that come close to their unique style of intelligent puzzles, witty humor and immersive gameplay. And this release just proves how creative this team is…always pushing the envelope and looking for ways to bring different styles and formats of adventure/escape games to their adoring fans. I really enjoyed Recursion. The time loop concept is a bit tricky at first. To balance the time-loop, the puzzles are all within a few steps of the clues …there isn’t much running around like other adventure games. However, I personally DO like running around adventure game scenes and loved the old style of Glitch games that gave us die-hard adventure-escape players the pure immersive experience in the Glitch world we love. There aren’t many devs that make adventure escape games. So, like always, I’ll be waiting for Glitch’s next release! Thanks Glitch Team! Cheers
