Now I gotta find me a Prettify that works across platforms 😜
  • Not ideal for Big Sur

Not here to tear the app down...it looks like it is quite well done and useful to most, but just an fyi for the Big Sur users. It looks like it is a bit buggy. Screens weren't opening and appear to be hanging or the action for creating a file and opening it are different. For instance, open file doesn't give you an option to create a folder, then create a file in that folder.
  • Good but could use a filter or search feature

I just downloaded this json viewer and one thing is missing is a filter or search feature.
  • I want to love it, but it crashes.

I love Jayson on iOS. Unfortunately, this Catalyst version just doesn't perform like the iOS version does. It crashes whenever I navigate too much through a complex JSON, which is exactly why I need Jayson in the first place. It's a hindrance to my workflow. If it didn't crash so much, I'd give it five stars. I had high hopes for this app on macOS, but it can't last through normal sessions of usage without crashing time after time. I'm disappointed to say the least.
  • Love the iOS App, But This Needs Work

I love Jayson on iOS so I decided to try the mac version and, unfortunately, it's been relatively unstable for me. Often freezes, which usually requires the app to be force-quit, when handleing moderately large JSON files. Also, it crashes all the time when when trying to open files when Jayson isn't already running.
  • Crashes too Often

I would really like this, but it seems to aways want to crash while I'm editing. Also there's no way to copy and paste lines as children of other lines. I'll keep looking.
  • Super helpful. Hot reloads are perfect for what I need!

I opened a JSON file to debug an Array. In my code, I can re-write the debug to JSON and the Jayson application will hot reload. Thank you!
  • Good JSON Viewer

The UI could use some improvement. Expectations: (a) Clicking on a table row should show me its contents; instead, a double-click is required. (b) instead of using a simple table, a table using drop-triangles is more readily understood; (c) using multiple windows instead of multiple tabs makes the different files easier to find.
  • Absolutely wonderful

It's tough to say how good this app really is. If you at all need to understand your JSON payload, this thing will slice and dice it any way you need to get a clear handle on it. I would've been debugging for at least another couple of hours without it ... today alone! Huge time saver and absolutely beautiful design. Thank you!

The highlight text view is good, table view is a nice, unique feature. The lack of a tree view makes navigation cumbersome.
