Idk how they gonna do it but DoorDash is gonna fail If they don’t get better at competing with Uber. Making more than $50 is like a sign from god.

I’ve never had a record until this year and a case is being dismissed and they didn’t do their research. DoorDash let me make money for almost two months and I have proof that I had a 4.8-5 star rating as a driver. Yet they take away my only way of making money. They aren’t responding to me and are ignoring my dispute. My communication is great, I show up early/ on time and I’ve never had a single complaint or error while working with DoorDash. Yet there’s people in my area who can’t read common English names and hand out food to the wrong people consistently in my area. Poor choice of drivers DoorDash. You get good ones and treat them like this your reviews are going to decline.

If you want to wait for more than three hours, without getting paid and offered a trip for five bucks then yeah this is for you . Please don’t waste your time.

I was a dasher for at least 6 months and hit silver status within my first week. Although I took every ridiculous 2 dollar order that was sent to me to drive 20 miles, my 5 star rating remained and my acceptance was reduced even with me accepting every order and bringing orders on time. Unfortunately, I was badly injured in a serious car wreck, hit by a truck and was out for 3 months. As soon as I bought another car I started dashing again and quickly hit platinum status and was told I’d be receiving the higher paid offers. That was a lie. I was still receiving 2 dollar orders and wasn’t allowed to dash when I wanted to as per platinum status said. I had to schedule dashes. What future dashers need to know- you will use more gas than the money you’ll make. You’ll put a ridiculous amount of money into your vehicle for maintenance and repairs. DoorDash will continually keep your tips and steal from you. They will continually keep you driving in circles and you’ll have to put gas in your car everyday. They don’t care about the drivers at all. I know this because their “driver support” is a joke and tell you it’s your fault for what they assign you and if they give you the wrong address, you must be able to be clairvoyant and just know where a customer lives!! This is no longer a good side gig it’s blatant disregard for the drivers and people who represent DoorDash and I no longer want to be involved in their “business”. I haven’t been deactivated but know lots of dashers who go through what I did and they have seen the same things happen to them as I have had happen to me. When I was hit in the middle of a dash, a very serious accident happened and my body has drastically changed with all the injuries. I called dash support and they didn’t care and didn’t even send condolences, nothing! But they did send me constant notifications to go dash while I was in the hospital! I told them what happened in detail with them knowing I would be out and not be able to drive for a while and instead of putting my account on a hold they continued to bomb me with go dash notifications? FYI- support is a joke and they won’t listen to you and actually I’ve had them make fun of my situation. DoorDash is a joke and I highly recommend that anyone considering wasting their time and money on them to find another gig that actually appreciates their drivers and doesn’t steal their tips and hard earned money. NO STARS. Unbelievable how a company can be ok with taking from their employees and have no remorse or accountability. Thumbs down, no stars, bad business all around. Friends and myself ran a test on DoorDash to see if they would steal the tips and overcharge us. The test concluded that DoorDash was overcharging the merchant, the customer and keeping the tip. That was all I needed to see. Farewell, see ya, adios.

UPDATES TO APP ARE TERRIBLE! (On Purpose?) They do anything they can to prevent you from earning $ Won’t you tell you App needs to be updated so you miss orders (it’s intentional, PrizePicks forces me update their app immediately when an update is available / DD should be the same way but intentionally wants you to miss orders). All about DD making $ and paying you as little as possible (80% of your $ comes from customer tip / DD may pay you $2 for a standard delivery).

App camera don’t work so I can’t finish signing up

They advertise that you can dash anytime but that is absolutely not true! You can be sitting there waiting for an order for about an hour or more. For me I waited almost a whole entire day without getting one single order, and not only that you get low pay ranging from $2+. DASHER SUPPORT IS NO HELP EITHER! Terrible! I recommend watching YouTube about our dasher that currently work for them to warn you before signing up!

The Dasher pay algorithm is a bit lac luster. And dasher will also monitor and change how you get your orders to keep you at a specific pay per hour. You can make some good money but it will come at the cost of some outrageous orders

Last night I by sheer chance delivered to my daughter’s house. I knew she tipped me $7. But DoorDash put that my hourly base pay from them was $5 with a tip of $2. Meaning they took my whole tip and just split it up so they wouldn’t have to even come out of pocket to pay me. I’m an older lady and accept all offers and even will wait when things go wrong so my customers still get their food. Many others would unassign. I’m sad. Disappointed-as I looked at other times it looks like this occurred-especially if they sent me 30 minutes away. I don’t know how such a wealthy person could own this company and still be so greedy. Maybe because they just got sued for this and lost. It will become class action again soon.
