mercari, please listen to your buyers and sellers, and a seller my sales are suffering and as a buyer i don't want to buy anything because the fees are outrageous. revert back to before where sellers had the percentage taken out and not add fees to the buyers anymore. and change the return policy back! its increased scams! if it ever changes back ill go back to a 5 star review

The app recently changed to no selling fees for the seller- which sounds great, but the fees have to be paid by someone. So now the buyer is paying the fees at checkout. On top of the expected cost of shipping and tax there’s now a service fee and a payment processing fee. So for example a $30 item with shipping and all the fees is now $44.34. As a seller and a buyer the new fees give me pause.

The Mercari’s technical support is the best. Always there to help and responds really fast.

$10 item becomes almost $20, $50 item becomes almost $70. The more expensive your item, the more fees you pay. Can’t imagine who thought it was a great idea to shift seller fees to buyer fees. I’ve bought tons of kids clothes from here over the years but I’ll be using kidizen/ebay/Poshmark now.

Closed account for no reason. I listed 1 card, within 24 hours they closed my account. Worthless garbage

Love the app, but recently I’ll have to restart my phone anytime I want to open the app because it won’t open. I checked a family members phone to see if it was my phone and they had the same issue too. Maybe it’s an iPhone problem?? By not open I mean when I click the app, it’ll be a white screen. I waited for it and it wouldn’t load. I deleted a bunch of apps that take up a lot of storage to see if that was the problem, but same problem. Somehow restarting my phone will get the app to finally open most the time.

Great app to sell products. Quick and easy to use.

Mercari is a good platform for buyers and sellers, when there is a problem with an item, there is always a path to get it corrected, either through the seller, or getting Mercari involved. One suggestion would be to put on every profile page how long it has been since they logged in. I do find unresponsive sellers sometimes, and this timer would help me figure out who is still active.

I buy sell on here pretty frequently, was deciding on buying an item for about 150. After the taxes, service fee and shipping, it was going to be 190! Yea, i dont think ill ever be buying from mercari again.. just selling maybe

They have weird limits to how low you can offer on something which is ridiculous cause some people just put crazy high prices that are some kind of hope on getting premium high price but the realistic offers then need to be made and you can’t cause they limit how much you can deduct. And when your locked credit card fails it’s not easy to do a retry it involves the seller again accepting the offer it’s absolutely silly. And now new reason for further low rating is this bate and switch behavior where now there are these service fees and processing fees charged to the buyer making all prices crazy higher so now there is no reason to use this additional market place.
