Mercari is one of the most intuitive and remarkable and highly profitable e-commerce apps on the market

I used to like purchasing on here and sold a couple of things. It’s not the easiest app to do searches on for specific items. It’s gotten a little better in that department through the years but it just so so in my mind. Takes me took long to find what I want because they show me too many things that are not related to my search at all which is annoying. They also charge buyers now a new processing fee and service fee which adds up significantly. I had a purchase that had over $25 in fees. That’s a big hard no for me. I’m not paying them that kind of money to shop their platform. I’m about ready to completely stop buying stuff from here. I will no longer list anything to sell on here either. The fees are supposed to make my experience better. Yeah that’s not happening it’s made it worse. Now my money is being wasted on stupid fees that really don’t benefit me the customer. Mercari we are not that stupid. It just seems like an attempt to make more money because either they are hurting or just greedy. Very disappointed because I was planning on listing a lot of items to sell. They even had a reward program once and they got rid of that too. Really unimpressed because there is so much competition now and you would think that would help them get better but they have gotten worse. When You start charging fees to shop your business that is the quickest way to get rid of customers. I still can’t believe these fees???? What was your management thinking. They snuck the first few fees past me. But I’ve added up over $50 in just fees since I noticed this started. That’s significant. People you need to pay attention and should complain if you agree. The sellers have their fees to sell on here which is understandable but if a store told you you had to pay a fee percentage based on what our spent would you shop at the store. I know I would not.

It’s nice to finally have a legitimate alternative to eBay. However, I’m finding most of the name brands I work with are not in Mercaris system and there is no way to update. This problem also exists with categories. Finally, shipping for the buyer has serious limitations and is expensive. That needs to be fixed to really compete.

I would NOT recommend mercari for selling purposes. I’m pretty disappointed as I have used mercari to sell items for over 4 years. If it wasn’t enough that they have no seller protection for buyers who ruin items for a refund, but now you cannot deposit your balance without paying a fee regardless of transfer time!!! constantly changing their rules at the expense of consumers on the platform. Extremely disappointing

The app has a lot of listings unfortunately it charges you a fee to transfer money to you bank account if you sold something. Also if you buy something, it has service fees on top of processing fees on top of taxes ect…. If I would of known that I would of stuck to the posh app. eBay and posh are much better.

seller did not ship the item out but the label was created.

Been using the app for a while, use to be good but been noticing extra charges for not have the right weight. Shipped something out and paid extra at Usps already but got charge again by Mercari. So that means Mercari charges by weight of item not by what post office actually charges. Be aware, When buying item, there’s service fee and process fee, taxes, shipping… a lot of the item even after good price became original price. Back to Facebook market for good deals !! 😂😂

Only been with this app a week as a seller. Everything is great except I’ve got banned indefinitely for selling what I see hundreds of others sellers are selling. Really? Banned indefinitely?
