HOW TO PLAY TICKET TO RIDE®: Players are dealt a number of tickets and must pick a certain number to keep (depending on the map). Players are also dealt four train cards of various colours. This number can also vary depending on the map you’re playing on, but don’t worry – the AI takes care of this! Each turn, players can draw two train cards from the face-up pile, draw two train cards from the face-down pile, draw another ticket to complete, or use their train cards to claim a route! A claimed route is shown by placing train pieces along the route. When a player has three or fewer train pieces left, the last round starts. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game is the winner! • Fun family game, needs work on macOS

I have a lot of fun playing this game with my family. The macOS version needs work, though. As an example, the opening screen (asking for birthday) has no affordance to let you know it’s awaiting keyboard input for the year field. We’re limited on the number of devices we have to play as a family, and being able to use the computer so everyone can play is important.

Great game! Love that we can buy all the different versions. But as someone who is red green colorblind, it can be tough to tell which train is mine, especially when I am playing as a red or green color.

Fun but kicks me off during a game. Can be slow and buggy. Hope future updates help it run smoother. Can’t delete it now after I paid for it. Love the game regardless.
  • Horrible board design makes unplayable

I had an older version on my iPod that was before Worlds if Wonder sold the rights. I really enjoyed the old game, but wanted to try some knew apps so I had to pay to get this “again” from the new company. Some design person got a hold of this game and made it unplayable for two reason: 1) the map is way too “busy” and the placed trains are not distinct enough to look at the board and see what each opponent is up to, and 2) the map doesn’t even fully fit on an iPad and you have to manually move it to see the coasts! If you play this game for the strategy it is no longer fun with these unnecessary changes. If you’re 3 and just like doing chop-choo stuff maybe that’s the only demographic that might like these new changes.
  • Horrible New App

The old app was a million times better, especially the competition.
  • No Notifications

This game is fun but having no notifications sent when it’s your turn makes it almost unplayable. I can’t keep checking and opening my app just to find out it’s not my turn yet. This is a staple feature for any other asynchronous game. With this feature this game would be great. Without it, it’s frustrating. I can’t recommend to anyone until this is updated. Other than that great game.
  • Gameplay vs AI is not enjoyable

I’ve had this app for about 2 weeks. The first few games took some figuring out, but now it’s nearly impossible to play. The AI characters continually block all routes into and out of cities where I’m trying to make routes and do not complete their own tickets. Is this a glitch? I don’t mind a little competition, but simply playing to block opponents and not do your own routes is not enjoyable

Had the old app, paid for it. It was all contained in a single app and worked well. Got a new phone and couldn’t download, so now both my wife and I had to buy it again. And now it’s two apps? Who thought this was a good idea?
  • Amazing game, horrible app

Let me first say that I love ticket to ride. I’m glad I spent $5 on this app, because I play every single day. However. This app is HORRIBLE. It constantly glitches, forcing you to quit the app and reopen to continue playing. It saves games that are already over, taking up valuable save slots and forcing you to forfeit stats when you delete them. Finally, invites to online games with friends don’t always come through, forcing you to restart games and send invites multiple times. For $5, the app should work much better.

When I want to purchase new map, it shows that purchase unsuccessful, the purchase could not be completed.
