  • A major step down

    1
By Viola Davis is a Kangaroo
The biggest problem is that it’s difficult to place the trains on the tracks because you have to hover over the tracks at JUST the right place. Also, the cities were routes begin and end are harder to notice than in the original app. Because instead of highlighting those cities, there are just tiny little symbols above them. You have to make an effort to find them. Also, every time you complete a route there is the same boring CGI animation that’s unskippable. In the original app, you get to see the actual route being animated and it was satisfying. It wasn’t just the same thing every time. Also, there are several times where there should be sound, but there isn’t. Skip this one and get the original app. what a waste of money. Developers, please release an update to fix all these issues. If you do, then I will remove this review.
  • Not impressed

Nothing like the old app ticket to ride. I paid for it before I had all my family join. Would not recommend spending your money on it. All the other expansion packs cost from $7.99 to 34.99. Color quality is poor. Hard for it to recognize where you are trying to put your trains. I’m young and it’s not easy on the eye. If you are trying to replace the old app this isn’t going to make you happy. Really wish they could take over the old game and start that one back up.
  • Expansion Packs?

This has been out for a while now. Would love if we could add the expansion packs that include more tickets…roll-out has been slow and a bit disappointing for having to pay money for. That being said, the improved computer performance has been nice.

  • Not the old TTR

This version is horrible! Nothing like the old TTR! I have played TTR for years and this one is just odd, slow and very hard to follow IMO as far as joining and starting a game. Don’t really like anything about it sadly.
  • Love Simplified View

Love the new view-- much closer to the original; however, can you turn off the "spotlight effect" on the tracks? It makes it hard to tell which tracks have trains vs open tracks.
  • Can’t invite friends

Husband and I downloaded to play together when apart for work. First time using app it was a little glitchy and the other person could only get an invite from the apps home page. Next and all subsequent times we’ve tried to use it, the invites fail to go through at all if the other person has the app open and if they aren’t in the app then they get the invite but the invite only takes them into the app but won’t connect to the shared game. If this function doesn’t work then the game is useless to me and I want my money back. We have both deleted and redownloaded. We have tried from the same WiFi source. We have logged out of out bubble accounts and logged back in. We have tried from different devices. Nothing seems to fix the issue. It’s very clearly a software issue at this point. Until this is fixed this app keeps a one star from me.
  • Needs Ranking

    By Angela Rissler
I purchased this game as the other TTR game is no longer available. I like the game; however, I wish there was ranking for the players to make it competitive. Without a ranking system, it’s just boring to play. May want to add this feature in. Otherwise, the game is great!
  • How can a game that was once so good get ruined so bad?

    2
    By JessThomCat
Thank god they added a timer, although it still doesn’t keep a player’s individual total amount of time and subtract as the game progresses like the old one. They have to figure out this bug which is still happening where it doesn’t accept the track or route you’ve picked when you lay the curser on it. It’s clear which route you’re choosing but times out and picks cards.
  • what a disappointment - save your $

If you loved the old game, this version will make you sad in so many ways - strange graphics, unnecessary animation, small cards, Lucky Charms markers for city routes, and a huge chunk of Mexico that is now visible for no apparent reason, making the whole board minuscule. I wonder if this version was developed by a wayward AI with no sense of what makes a game enjoyable or even playable. Alan Moon, please reclaim your amazing creation back from this evil overlord of inefficiency and reclaim the old version! There is no help for this product.
