I have been using Golfshot for several years and I realize that I have been taking it for granted. Simply put it just works and does everything I ask it to. Accurate yardages for every course and the scoring and Index management are seamless. The course I play at most recently updated there scorecard and yardages. I sent an email to support and got a quick response and the app was updated quickly. I’m a lifer with Golfshot.
  • Great at first…

The app was great at first but it continually jumps to the next hole and fails to keep the score entered. When reviewing the scorecard it misses several scores. Very frustrating! Yardage is fairly accurate though. I deleted the app at the beginning of May 2024 but I’m giving it another try, we’ll see. 🤞🏼
  • When are they going to improve the caddie?

I love this app. The swing detection, swingID, the score tracking with the swing detection… GolfShot gets so much right. I just wish they would improve the caddie. Add wind and elevation and possible club suggestions because of those things. Add a switch to be able to turn those things off in tournaments if they are banned, but add the to the app, PLEASE.🙏
  • Pretty good

I used the free version of this app on Saturday. I enjoyed using it, the yardages were pretty spot on and it did a good job of recording my scores and everything. Maybe I skipped past the tutorial but there definitely could be better instructions for how to use the different aspects of the app better. Like changing your clubs to hitting fairways or not and others, it took me a bit to figure it out. Also I couldn’t figure out how to change my score on my Apple Watch which was a bit frustrating so I logged everything with my phone after each hole. All in all I recommend this app for people who want to keep track of their scores and get good yardages.
  • Pro version: Swing and a wiff

Without a Apple Watch, it’s seems little more than a tracking app where you manually enter information while you are golfing. Unlike most dedicated golf GPS’s it doesn’t show your current location and distance to the green or hazards. You can track shots by selecting “I’m at my ball”. But why require this. I would have liked to look at the app- at anytime- and see the distance to the green from where I’m at, whether I’m at my ball, another players ball, a bunker, or driving my cart down the middle of the fairway. I do like the interface an ease of use but wished it had this feature.
  • Great App to Track My Game

I don’t get to golf as often as I would like, so it’s hard to note improvements to my game. Golfshot helps me see what I’m doing well and what I can do better and it keeps track of it long term for me.
  • Swing ML not ready

Not sure what's going on but the last round was flawless and went to use it today and it won't communicate with my watch beyond telling me yardages to the green. Says swing ML not ready and every time I go to get it going it gets hung up and eventually times out. Tried resetting phone and watch multiple times.

GolfLogix user since 2011, April 2023 update is a step back. Now have 2 rounds with GolfShot. My needs are pretty basic. Par, hole length, front middle back of green. Pleasantly surprised with ease, look at watch, there are the distances. Distances were accurate, playing partner was using range finder, and cart GPS was within a couple of yards plus or minus. After putting out turn crown to score and putts. Synced well with phone. Many other features have not tried. Has the basics down well.
  • Amazing App

This app is amazing and keeps getting better. I use it along with my iPhone & Apple Watch for accurate gps distances, scoring with stats, posting to GHIN handicap and so much more like distances to end of fairway and hazards. Put in your club distances and it is also your caddie telling you the recommended club. Now with swing analytics it’s helping me fix my outside -in swing path. You’ll be amazed with all it does.
  • Didn’t work right out of the gate

I was excited to try out the auto shot tracker. I signed up for the free trial. Recieved the notification from apple that my subscription has started. But I still was not able to access the pro version of the app and turn on auto shot tracking. It kept asking me to upgrade to pro. So I went ahead and set up my round anyway (which btw wasn’t easy to figure out the first time). The phone did not sync with my watch so I had to manually open the app on my Apple Watch. Other golf apps I’ve used automatically synced up. So this was another extra step I had to take. Everything was going well (except for not being able to use the auto shot tracker which was the whole point of this app) except when I went to put in my score for hole 10, the number boxes were blank and I was unable to enter my score. I looked at the app on my phone and it said I was on hole number 1. After fumbling around a bit I was able to somehow get it working again. I might give this app another try if I can get the auto shot tracking working with the free trial. Otherwise, there are better apps out there for sure.
