Furthermore, SSH Proxy is designed to automatically reconnect when your Mac is waking up from sleep. Notable Features: - Auto launch when log in OS X - Create HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4/4A and SOCKS5 proxy through SSH tunnel - Ability to share created proxy on LAN - Fast switch between multiple SSH accounts - Automatically reconnect after disconnected by errors or waking up from sleep - Remember SSH login password & private key passphrase in OS X Keychain automatically - Whitelist, only sites on the list will be accessed through the proxy server, other sites will be connected directly SSH Functions: - Able to compress SSH connection - Connecting through SOCKS5 / SOCKS4 / HTTPS proxy with authentication - Support public-key, password, keyboard-interactive and multi-factor authentication methods - Support Google Authenticator and Authy for two-step verification - Support multi-factor authentication - Can deal with DSA, RSA, ECDSA, ed25519 private key types - RFC4716, PKCS#8 and PEM key formats are supported, compatible with OpenSSH Note: • SSH Proxy supports SSH-2 protocol, the vulnerable and obsoleted SSH-1 is not supported. Litterally, all I did was $sh: ssh-keygen ... tried to import that private key and I get an error popup saying that it can't parse it. What version do you need?

I wish the developer can update this app one last time just to support Apple Silicon, so the app will still be alive in the long future.

This is a gem It creates a local proxy that can go through corporate SSL and SOCKS proxies and connect to an SSH server. Basically it's like a VPN proxy over SSH. The remote SSH server does not need any extra software to act a host proxy. Use it while away from home

I was looking for this kind of app that supports SOCKS as well as web traffics and this is exactly what I needed. Keep good working!

I’ve been used “SSH Tunnel Manager” before use this. “SSH Tunnel Manager” is only supports SOCKS but this app is supports HTTP(S) and SOCKS. Fantastic!!!

What this does: Establishes an SSH connection and (selectively or not, depending on how you’ve set it up) opens up a port on the local computer which to be a proxy — it sends traffic over the tunnel so that it appears to originate from that server. If you have stuff behind a corporate firewall, but you have a host you can SSH to that is reachable from outside the firewall that can see stuff inside the firewall, then this app can be used kind of like you would a VPN. What this app doesn’t do: It does NOT configure your network settings so that your computer USES that proxy server. You have to go into Network Settings, choose your interface, like Wi-Fi for instance, Advanced, Proxies, SOCKS, fill in 127.0.0.1 and the port you set up this app to use (1080 is the traditional SOCKS port but you could use whatever you want of course). You have to switch that off when you disconnect this app. I’d LOVE it if this app configured my computer to use the proxy when connected, and turned that off when it disconnects or exits. I wrote a shell script to do it instead. If it’s possible within the App Store rules to do this, it would easily be worth twice the price. If so, maybe make an “SSH Proxy Pro.”
