Fantastic app. Assists you as you go through it, it’s pretty cool.

Lack of product knowledge. Worst experience ever.

Never could get the magic codes sent over no matter how I tried. I tried email. I tried phone number and I tried Apple. I tried Google. Nothing seem to work about an hour later. I got about 10 magic codes in a row and none of them would allow me to login. Kept telling me my Internet connection is down, but I’m working here on a laptop computer on the same Internet connection. I have 2gb Fibre optics connection.

I wish it worked but it has the worst glitches and can’t do anything other than take photos of the receipts which my camera can do.

Website spins and doesn’t take changes. Can’t make necessary changes in the app, must go to the web. Crappy overall experience. What should take 15 minutes to accomplish takes hours due to the constant delays and timeouts.

Have tried many times to download receipts from camera and it doesn’t work. Extremely disappointed. And no customer service help.

Our company used Expensify for several years, but they doubled the prices a few years ago. We also realized that they were overcharging us for users that we weren’t using (they changed how users were charged). When we contacted them about this, the answer was basically, “Too bad, thanks for the extra money!” Not customer-focused at all.

i’m testing apps for receipt scanning and saving. the scanning and OCR are much much slower than 2 other scan/save apps (quickscan, evernote scannable) but i was excited about the categorizing—pulls out merchant, date and total. 2nd scan it listed the total as $29 on a receipt for $99 so some data entry required. the big issue is the email forwarding is such that it cannot be set up as an auto forward in mac or gmail- a very useful feature (zoho individual address vs exp’y general receipts@ address). but after much testing, this is in 2nd place.

I have yet to have anything work on this app. The amount of hours the developers had to spend to make an app this terrible.

Every time I close the app, then come back and reopen it later the expenses I’ve just put in have disappeared. Looks like I’ll shop around for a better performing app.
