This app is a VPN and proxy client for the NetShade service. Fast and easy to use. Access the world's content through some of the best VPN and proxy servers available. Route your Internet connection through another server to change your IP address. Visit websites from different parts of the world, and protect your privacy online. NetShade has been a trusted service provider since 2004. Using VPN and proxy servers allows you to access overseas web content while traveling. It also helps protect your privacy and anonymity by masking your IP address from the sites you visit. Optional VPN enables strong encryption of all your network traffic, to secure your activity from prying eyes on the network. Subscribers can access all of NetShade's fast, secure proxy and VPN servers around the world. Choose to use a proxy when you need a quick, reliable proxy-backed web connection, or use VPN when you require maximum security. NetShade is a subscription service. With an account, you can use all of NetShade's dedicated proxy and VPN servers, as well as a list of public proxies. You can also manage your own lists of proxies. The NetShade app lets you quickly enable and disable your proxies and switch between them. A free 10 day subscription to the NetShade servers is provided for new users of the app.

  • Extremely Limited Server Choices

    I could be wrong about this and I hope that I am corrected. Rayner Software’s NetShade app seems to have an extremely limited list of servers to choose from. Only one has IPv6. Oftentimes some servers listed won’t even connect. I have used them for some time but I’m not sure I will renew my yearly subscription again. The app works but as I said, the server choices are extremely slim pickins. Does anyone have a clarification regarding this?

    Across Macs. After years I upgraded to the VPN service. Excellent. Kill switch on macOS. Since the iOS architecture appears to make the kill switch impossible, it would be nice if the notifications which are everywhere on iOS could give me a nudge when VPN service drops. Clean fast VPN. Applecentric.

    Was awesome. Used for a year. With latest update doesn’t work. Always shows connection error on vpn. Thanks for destroying the app

  • Very bad Customer service

    Been a customer for 4 years and this year will be the last! I have never ever gotten a reply or a response from their technical support! Right now it’s not working on one of my phones saying that a certificate expired! I tried troubleshooting it but no luck! I sent three emails, used their website form, but nothing and no response! {{{I will not renew again.... ((TunnelBear)) has been a good VPN service provider and I’ll stick with them}}}

    I have been using this VPN globally now for about one year from almost every continent. It works 99% perfectly and enables my computer to be "seen" as if it were in the USA so that I can access some sites that are region sensitive. That makes it easier to safely exchange my data with clients. The VPN picks the most available link, but I really like being able to adjust and move connections to another site and keep from always landing in the same country on a business trip. I highly recommend it and it is worth the price.

    I abused this software for YEARS, using it in places most people never would ever think of ging to, in places where internet was just about as slow and clunky as early AOL days, and where I know the government wants to listen in and read everybodies calls and emails. Ty, the author, has made this software work for me. I stressed it and broke, it, and he fixed it quickly. Loyal user. It is NOT perfect, no software is. But it works like a charm, in places where other VPN services will never work, and for that, I am grateful!
