Agree with the last few reviewers, since about 3 updates ago this app has been almost unusable with the lag and crashes. Please fix! I switched from Castro to Pocket Casts about a year ago and was so impressed….bur that’s fading. Thanks!

Don’t know what happened to this App, but the last 3 updates have made it so buggy, I’m looking at finding another podcast player after enjoying this one for 3 years. Constantly crashes during start up to the point I usually give up and listen to a book instead 😔. Crashes during playing too, on those occasional times I can get it to open. It’s gotten very laggy on loading and the controls are also either laggy or don’t respond.

This is a great app if you like your podcasts to randomly stop playing, enjoy glitches and don’t mind impossibly slow functioning. It used to work great but now it is unbelievably difficult to use.

Voice boost is not up to par with Overcast. It just removes low frequencies (not ideal), but doesn’t remaster audio to normalize quiet speakers to the same volume. Playback speed adjustment needs to be available without having to tap into a playback speed panel. Adjusting speed pauses audio briefly every tap unless shorten silence is enabled. The player randomly disappears sometimes requiring a quit and relaunch.

I spent WAY more time than should be needed to accomplish a simple task. When following the prompts to import nothing happens. Rebooted iphone several times. Will not import from Overcast or Google Pods.. moving on to an app that works . One star .

This app has become almost unusable since last week. What did you do to it? I just purchased the app about a week ago. It's a decent app but I can't sync. I get a sync failed message and I know it wasn't happening at first. Also, in the help section, it states that the podcast layout can be changed by swiping to the right. Either I'm an idiot or it doesn't work. That isn't very important but the sync issue is. I'm not impressed with the auto-reply email I got saying I might or might not get a response. Really? Nice... I agree with the user who commented about the cutesy language, lame and not helpful. We'll see what happens. If my issues are addressed I'll update this review. So, I see issues steadily fixed and really have no complaints. I like the app. Now, how about bookmarks? The other podcast app I purchased at the same time as Pocket Casts now has this feature. I hope you guys add it too!

Until Pocket Casts adopts podcasting 2.0, it will continue to have a single star for me. Pocket Casts has been for me the best application on Android and iOS, but it is a shame that it has not yet adopted transcriptions (essential for accessibility), V4V, host information, etc... However, update after update adds new features which really don't add anything to a hard core podcast listener.
