I like this app because it made a running training plan for me for my first half marathon and I like that it sync with my iwatch.

I started Runna with the trial version to try out a 5k workout plan to see if it was worth it. After that first week I immediately purchased the year! Runna is the best workout app I have used so far, including Strava (which I also use for features Runna doesn’t have) because it allows you to create a workout plan based on your own personal goals and current abilities. I started off simple with just a running plan but am now incorporating Pilates, Mobility, and strength training in my workout weeks and I feel amazing!! Eliminating the mental stress of coming up with my own weekly workout plans, made it easy to focus on the run or the session and helped me plan my runs better! If you’re like me and the hardest part of getting that run in is having to make the plan to do it, this is for you. If you’re a beginner runner who loves the sport still has so much to learn, like me, I also recommend this app!

The basic free app is amazing and more in depth and customizable than others. The interface is simple and overall the plans are reasonable and tailored to you.

This app is awesome if your looking for structure and a plan to follow for your running ! I love the fact that my workouts are right on my Apple Watch all I have to do is press start and listen to the coaching ! I highly recommend this app!

I’ve really enjoyed using Runna. The workouts go straight to my Garmin and it’s easy to follow with pace guidance. Easy to modify and change things. It definitely pushes me but I’ve never progressed as much until I used it. I stretch before and do lots of recovery after so I’m making progress and staying injury free.
  • Love Runna, but the Apple Watch app is horrible

I really do love using Runna - the plans are amazing, the iPhone app is very easy to use, and I like how the app connects with Strava. I will say, though, that it’s baffling how bad the Apple Watch app is. Every time I try to save a workout, the watch app crashes. I’ve tried 15+ times to save my workout this morning, and it’s crashed every time. Been doing this for 10 minutes so far today, and this happens more often than not. I’ve even had to factory reset my watch because it crashed too many times and wouldn’t turn back on (it got stuck on the Apple logo screen). The live pacing is also all over the place, jumping from 12+ min/mile pace to 8 min/mile pace over the span of a few seconds when I’ve barely changed my speed. The pause button stopped working on my run today, and I had to go into the watch app settings and turn auto pause on/off anytime I wanted to pause/restart my run. Hard to believe I’m paying this much money for such a frustrating app.

I wanted to thank you all for this app! I’ve only been using it for a week but it has me excited about all my runs. It is so great for those of us who thrive off runners math. I’m looking forward to continuing to use this app! I’ve been recommending it to EVERYONE!
  • It works, sometimes too intense

I’ll start off by saying the 10 week half marathon plan I did with Runna took me from a 1:06 10k to a 1:46 half marathon very quickly. It clearly produces fantastic results. However my only gripe was when it came to the programmed easy runs they always over estimated my pacing to stay in zone 2 and my watch was always beeping at my that I was going too slow lol. I turned off pacing alerts on easy days and that made it a bit easier to manage. The intensity is good and it was always “doable” but I think it ramped me up in mileage and speed a bit too quickly - I did SMASH the time goal I set for myself but I wound up with minor shin splints and IT band issues after my race. This didn’t stop my from purchasing a full year subscription because I really do think it’s a great app but I’ll be a bit smarter about the programming as I use it to train for my first full marathon.
