    This app does not track your distance and automatically advance to the next running interval. So, not only do you have to constantly look at your phone or watch to track how far you’ve run, you also have to click a button. For example, run for a mile, then sprint for .2 goes like this: you hit the button to start your run and the garbled computerized voice tells you to start. You have to watch your device and once you see you’ve gone a mile you hit the button on your watch. The garbled voice tells you to sprint and hit the button again when you’re done. So you sprint while constantly looking at your watch to track your distance, then hit the button on your watch and start running again at your normal pace. This app is a huge disappointment. I want a refund!

  • The prompts

    Okay say i’m in the middle of running. Ice started the work out. The prompts make using this app hard for some reason. I actually like it. There’re stretches. It’s free for what I need it for but the prompts while running make it impossible. I’ve started running and instead of the prompt telling me what I need to currently be doing it’ll tell me what I need to be doing NEXT. Which isn’t helpful to me. Let’s say I need to be running at a pace of 3.2 it’ll tell me the next prompt which is disorienting. I need to know what I need to currently be doing then at the end of the lap tell me what I need to be doing next. Don’t tell me the NEXT lap at the beginning of the CURRENT lap.

    I started Runna with the trial version to try out a 5k workout plan to see if it was worth it. After that first week I immediately purchased the year! Runna is the best workout app I have used so far, including Strava (which I also use for features Runna doesn’t have) because it allows you to create a workout plan based on your own personal goals and current abilities. I started off simple with just a running plan but am now incorporating Pilates, Mobility, and strength training in my workout weeks and I feel amazing!! Eliminating the mental stress of coming up with my own weekly workout plans, made it easy to focus on the run or the session and helped me plan my runs better! If you’re like me and the hardest part of getting that run in is having to make the plan to do it, this is for you. If you’re a beginner runner who loves the sport still has so much to learn, like me, I also recommend this app!
