  • Best Book Tracker

StoryGraph is the most user-friendly book tracking & organization that I’ve used. The UI is modern and clean, featuring bold charts and graphics integrated into community book reviews and user data. The personalized stats are what really make this app stand out. While I think the app is great, there are a few features I’d LOVE to see in the future. 1. Better ways to organize your library. Other book apps allow you to create book shelves and categorize your to-read books. This is a major feature that is missing from the app at the moment. 2. More versatile search features. Currently, you can search books by title and author, or discover books through StoryGraph’s recommendations. I would also love to be able to explore books by theme, genre, mood, etc. 3. More social interaction. It’d be nice to have more ways to reach other readers, perhaps in the form of a community “home page” where you could browse through others book notes, comments, etc. Thank you!

I have shamelessly been trying to get everyone on this app. I love that they don’t bombard you with ads, that they’re a small team, that they listen to their users, and that the app works flawlessly for non-paid subscribers. Here’s a disorganized list of things I love about StoryGraph: I work with data, so I get a huge kick out of the granularity of the data interpretations offered for even basic users. My family and close friends have become accustomed to unprompted deliveries of my monthly summaries. They’re aesthetically pleasing in addition to being fun to evaluate. The recommendations are solid. Before StoryGraph, I struggled to get good book recommendations. What was being recommended by Amazon Kindle and GoodReads just never landed well. The writing was usually not what I was looking for. After StoryGraph, I haven’t experienced a book rut and always know what to get at the library next. The challenges have been really fun! They are a great way for me to read more. It encourages me to be a braver reader and I love how much more I’ve been exposed to because of it. What I don’t like: Pie charts, mostly on principle.

This is not user friendly. I can’t even add entries to track how much of the book I’ve read. It’s useless.
  • I need a referral code

I think they should implement referral codes I recommend this app so much. I think this is a great book tracking app. They continue to develop so you can learn new and enhanced features, you can count on them to refresh and fix bugs. They’re compared to an alternative to good reads which is true, but it’s much than with more creatively and purpose. Not horrendous ads. I especially enjoy the community feel of the general app and the challenges! The challenges are really encouraging to expand my reads align with values/purpose. Lastly, if I haven’t convinced you yet some challenges have prizes!! If you’re an indie bookstore lover you’re love this app. Find me on itscassie and join in to the challenges. ☺️

I’ve been using StoryGraph for a couple years now and it keeps getting better! Still working on getting my friends to switch from that other app but they are being stubborn!

So far I’ve been loving the app, I haven’t found a book that they don’t have in their database! The To Read collection is next level, you can put in there what books you already own and then filter those out. The only request I have is that in every progress update that you could do them based off of time and date, as well as having the app after you put in how many pages you’ve read, add that with your other entries and then calculate the percentage amount for you! Like I’ve said, this app is amazing and in the grand scheme of things a small complaint. Thank you so much for this app!

So I intended on using this app just to have soemthing to track the library I already own but the scanning feature hasn’t worked for me at all. Also, everytime I switch to a different page I have to log back into the app. I really appreciate what the app is for and I’m sure it’s great for people who have functional versions of it

I cannot log-in to the app, although my email and PW are correct. Very frustrating.
  • Buggy

I love this app but it feels out dated. It also is sort of buggy, I’ll mark something as reading and I have to reload the app just for it to show up in the section of books that I’m reading. Also when i click the bottom sections to go to different areas (home, profile, etc) it like stutters and it’s kind of slow to load? I like this app but I can’t bring myself to really commit to it bc while it’s Leagues ahead of Goodreads, it’s just not as user friendly or modern as Bookmory or Fable. Story Graph still needs a lot of work
