So I had massive freezing and crashing problems with this initially. I think it requires more free space on your iPhone. Cleared that up and deleted completed projects and that helped. I still find the layout confusing and have spent too much time trying to figure it out…still haven’t quite…yet even with the tutorial and not sure how to get the plugins to work on iPhone…. All that said…feels like it has potential… Update: Nope still freezing like crazy back to 1 star….it always starts out fully expanded and that crashes my app because I have so many projects. Please let me go back to Omni3. Update still crashing despite uninstalling and reinstalling and having 10GB free space Update again: their update seems to have fixed the major freezing issues. Back up to 4 stars.

Changing my rating!!! “I had gotten the free two week trial, but it is impossible to find a place to cancel the App so that I am not charged. “ Sent them a note on this and they immediately got back to me. So sweet. Unlike most App’s that start charging you immediately after your trial expires and you failed to cancel in time, these people don’t. It just reverts back to the “free” section. NOW THAT IS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! And a good policy. They must be a good company. I have found I just don’t have that many “to do’s” to use such a detailed App. This would be good for an executive or some one with lots of to do’s in different areas. Thank you OmniFocus for such good customer service.

i stopped using OF with version 3, i just did not find the iOS version usable. OF 4 is super on the phone, very similar to the mac. been using for a few weeks, my email inbox is empty for the first time since i left! great work, i am back!

I am so happy to see the new options for filters in OmniFocus 4.2 they came at the perfect time. There were many things with filtering single projects, repeating tasks and especially has date in range to be able to see just what I am looking for today and the next week. OmniFocus is nearly where I have wanted it for so many years. I still wish I could customize the colors again, they removed it from version one brought it back sort of years after the release in version 2 and I have missed it with only light and dark modes. I wish I could export and archive my perspectives, could set filters for projects, tags, and perspectives that I never want to show up as options for the quick open dialog. I am so glad to have that on iOS finally in version four. That ilimitates thankfully the need for so many of my perspectives because drilling into tags was always a pain on iOS. Keep up the great work OmniFocus your work is appreceated and noticed!!
  • Done giving this company money

Was excited about this to the point of instantly throwing my money at it. Same clunky, convoluted product. Many rough edges. I feel like I’m always at the bottom of the page and UI elements are awkwardly in the way or nearly covering up other important elements. Just feels like nobody is trying anymore.
  • It's a good upgrade

I have been an Omnifocus user for many years. The version 4 upgrade is not what I had hoped it would be, but there are some nice features and the experience is similar across the Mac and the iPhone. I am looking forward to more development of the app, improving on some things that still need a little work, but in the meantime I am glad I upgraded to version 4 because it does work well for me.
  • Clunky design, performance issues

I’ve been a dedicated OF user for nearly 15 years but this is the worst major upgrade yet. Clunky, non-intuitive UI and sluggish responsiveness. I paid full price for OF4 Pro but I’ve reverted all of my installs from OF4 back to OF3, it’s just not usable.
  • Buggy and slow

I’m tempted to go back to OF3. Thus far, OF4 proves to be buggy and slow in both mobile and desktop platforms.
  • Still better than Apple reminders for serious task management

Tried switching to Apple reminders, which is very good, but keep coming back to Omnifocus.
