Description

Bark Kids is the free child companion app for both Bark and Bark Jr. To use it, you’ll need to have an established Bark account and install Bark Kids on your child’s device. Here are the features this app enables: SCREEN TIME MANAGEMENT Families can set healthy time limits and create schedules for when their children’s devices can connect to the internet (through both cell service and Wi-Fi). WEB FILTERING Our web filter lets you select which websites your child can access on their devices. You can allow or block specific sites — or even whole categories like streaming services, online gaming, sexual content, and more. GPS-POWERED LOCATION TRACKING Bark’s robust location tracking enables you to track your child in real time on a map. You can even find out if they’re stationary, walking, biking, or moving in a car. CHECK-INS Check-Ins are an easy way for families to get peace of mind when their kids are out and about. Rather than sending a "Did you get there?" or "Where are you?" text, you can rely on a GPS-based location confirmation from your children to verify that they've safely arrived at their destinations. It can even give you step-by-step directions via Google Maps so you can meet them where they are if necessary. PERSONAL ACCOUNT CONNECTIONS The Bark Kids app allows kids to connect their own accounts to Bark’s monitoring service (not available with Bark Jr). By allowing them to connect directly to our monitoring service, they get more privacy without having to share their usernames or passwords. HOW BARK KIDS WORKS WITH THE BARK PARENT APP Download the Bark Parent companion app to manage your child’s entire digital world - Monitor texts, apps & social media - Create custom screen time schedules - Block websites & apps - Get insights into online activities - Track location WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING - "My wife and I LOVE Bark. We've had some tough but productive conversations with our 13-year-old son. It's proving to be extremely valuable." — Josh L. - “It’s just another set of protections we as parents give our kids for the digital environment (or as my 10-year-old calls it, a “cell phone seat belt”). My oldest is a 9th grader, and while I trust her, I’ve come to realize through the alerts that some of her friends aren’t truly her friends. It’s led to some amazing conversations about choosing friends wisely and recognizing toxic people. While she wasn’t for Bark at first, she’s since said she’s grateful that I saw those messages because it reaffirmed what she was feeling but didn’t know how to verbalize without sounding sensitive.” — Bark Parent - "Bark notified me that my young daughter had unknowingly revealed her phone number to strangers on Twitter. The fact that Bark notified me was impressive and led to an informative discussion with her the same day." — Jon B. - “Since Bark alerted us to the suicidal language used in the Google doc that was being used in a chat document with a friend, we have seen both a pediatrician and a licensed counselor. We are hopeful for a positive outcome. Thanks to Bark for letting us peek into our child’s mind!” — Bark Parent - “This app is a lifesaver! It has allowed us to catch so many “red flags” in the content my kids have accessed on their devices and in their interactions with friends and other people online that I wouldn’t have ever known about otherwise. The big difference between Bark and other “Parental Control” software is that Bark allows your kids to have so much more privacy. It doesn’t show you everything they do, but sends an instant alert regarding any activity that might be concerning. Highly recommended!” — Bark Parent With Bark, you can help keep your kids safe both online and in real life. Try it out for seven days absolutely free! So this is my opinion on bark my privacy is gone and I feel like I’m on a leash. I used to be able to tell my friends about my secrets but bark is in the way.and basically you’re just paying something to invade your kids privacy.but I decided to be nice and give this a five star.

I already have a LOT of restrictions, I like my privacy, and THIS if anyone finds this than my reputation is burnt toast! I am already not super popular because of the “no texting from 9pm-6am thing”, but if someone finds out, NO ONE will talk to me again! I know what you’re thinking, just a tween being over dramatic, but I am being serious!!!!!! A GIRL NEEDS HER PRIVACY!!!!!!

So my parents got this on my phone for whatever reason even though I did nothing bad and I got it and at first it was fine I could do everything I wanted with and without Wi-Fi that was in June in July it was the same except I couldn’t log into my socials anymore. August:same as July. September:same as august October: I could no longer look up anything. November: I had internet problems. December: my Apple Music stopped working completely and we could not fix it. January: I could no longer use my phone without Wi-Fi and I could only text. February: I couldn’t purchase I cloud I couldn’t do anything on my phone anymore without Wi-Fi and I could only text when on Wi-Fi and my Apple Music still wouldn’t work we had called apple and they did no help we went to apple and couldn’t figure out what was going on and same with Verizon. In march I had it deleted off my phone and I could fully access my Apple Music texts and all my socials without issue on and off Wi-Fi. So yeah it broke my phone

This app is truly a great thing for parents, but it messed up my phone so badly to the point of being impossible to use. It messed with my VPN and made my phone slower than ever, and it isn’t a great look. We’ve contacted Bark members before, but the solutions they gave were only temporary. I understand the usefulness of this app, but it truly was not worth destroying my phone over. My parents ended up removing it because of the amount of issues we encountered with it. Great for monitoring, horrible for the phone itself. I have a new phone, too, it’s not like it’d be because of the model. Thanks for the experience anyways, Bark! 😭

My 2nd Review! Skibidi toilet will be mine! I don't care about this app at all! So when I'm bored I go on the App Store and read Bark Kids reviews. That app that monitors our phones that app. So all of the reviews are 1 star saying that they have know privacy at all in which I agree about it. That's not the worst part about it. These kids that make a review about this is funny these kids are saying that if the say like dumb or stupid they get reported. Oh I read this review of a kid saying that he likes bird, science, and etc the kid can't even search up birds and science and Bark Kids say that that's bad or something else idk but that's stupid that Bark Kids would report something about science and birds and says that's bad. What the heck man. Like I'm about to write a review with everything in every detail and I can probably write a book about it and how stupid Bark Kids is and if a freaking stupid robot replys with a Hi tHeRe, OuR mIsSiOn Is tO kEeP cHiLdReN sAfe bY gIViNg tHeM mOrE pRivAcy aND gIvIng PaRenTs lEss dAta pOsIbLE. Like bro that is the most dumbest mission ever bro i think there meaning Hi there, our mission is to screw up every childs phone as possible. That's a dumb mission bro both of them are besides the funniest one which is the second one. SKIBIDI TOILET WILL BE MINE! THIS IS A FURRY THING! I HATE DEPRESSION! ROHEHEHEHHHE! SUB TO ME ON YT! MY YT IS MRMAN001

You can’t go on anything, nothing loads/ works when I got it. I do. Not recommend at all. If I could rate it a 0/10 I would. i’m lucky I could even get onto the App Store…

Hey parents of guardians, as a teenager, I strongly advise agents downloading this app. It seriously invades your child/teen(s) privacy and costs 7 dollars a month for a whole year, even though there are much better alternatives out there. If you want to monitor your child/teen(s) massages etc, there are definitely better options than this invasive app. Please consider reading other reviews before making a decision. Thanks
