Email is arguably the most common scenario where one would want a tool like Grammarly. Unfortunately, Grammarly does not support the best and most private open source email client, Thunderbird. The good news is that LanguageTool does support ThunderBird.

It helps me work without stressing about mispelled words.

Grammarly has been working very eell on my Mac until the past one-two weeks. Now, it suggests corrections but when you select them, nothing happens! That is not useful. Seems like an update must have happened that is broken. PLEASE FIX IT! FAST! I use Grammarly all the time and this adds double the effort. Also, it doesn't work inside Word,which is a bit annoying. I find I write it in Pages and transfer to Word. Must be a better way.. Thank you! Mary

Grammarly offers a good product if it works. However, their customer support is non-existant. I cannot get it to work with Google Docs and now I was given a support ticket but they quickly closed it and did not solve my issue. For how much I paid I should be able to contact live tech support. Make sure to purchase it with a credit card so you can dispute the charge if you have a problem. Do not expect Grammarly to help you reslove issues with their software. They refused to give me a refund and I am filling a claim with the Illinois State's Attonry Consumer Division.

well, it works on web but the rest of my apps? Not so much, including pages.

Idk what to do, as of now I copy and paste what I need review into a draft email on gmail. Doesn't work on my Microsoft Word and doesn't work on my online version either. Tried to troubleshoot per the steps online but nope. And now I am a paying customer so this is really frustrating.

I constantly lose Grammarly functionality and have to disable and enable the extensiin to get it to work again.

I think this is a great tool. I've used Grammarly for 4-5 months now and it is VERY helpful for pointing out spelling and punctuation errors when I'm working on something with a lot of words. I also really like the counter arguments and tone insights you can do. It is SO helpful, especially when I'm writing something I'm not entirely sure about, to get that feedback when I need it. This being said, I have also seen many negative reviews saying that Grammarly does not let you write what you want to, but that's actually not true. While it will make comments if you ask it too and it sometimes won't give any improvement suggestions because of "sensitive content" (which is one thing that I don't like about Grammarly), you still have the freedom to write whatever you want; there is an option to turn it off for a while if you'd like. And yes, there have been a few more things that I haven't been so pleased with over the course of using Grammarly, but they are very minuscule, and truthfully I can't think of any other problems I've had off the top of my head. With all this said, I give Grammarly 4 stars, because it is a very good resourse for correcting mistakes and pointing out things in my writing I otherwise wouldn't have noticed, but also because, based off of my experiences and the apparent experiences of many others, there are a few changes that should be made very soon.

It is awesome for school, but the Grammarly Go does not work.

Recommended to me as I was beginning my masters program, I was VERY excited to use it and purchased the premium option! At first it was awesome, catching my little mistakes as I'm a fast typer and write about 3/4 papers a week. But the past few months I have been completely unable to get it to work. Even if I type in the app it will stop working. If this app worked the way it did in the beginning I would probably sponser it for free- but alas this is not the case whatsoever.
