This app is not only censored but it’s run by a company that has partnered with every single police department. Each post is denied because they don’t want the public to fear the worse or have criminals monitor it. You’re lucky If you catch a post regarding an incident. If it gets too much attention it gets deleted. You’re better off downloading a police scanner

This app is honestly the stupidest application when it comes to neighborhood security or letting your neighbors know of truly suspicious and criminal behavior. First time I tried posting about two male javelinas aggressively attacking my dogs and I by my park. Denied. I did nothing but explain the javelina location and how they went out of their way and were being hyper aggressive. My rottie needeed stitches from the event DENIED. I reworded it thinking I had messed up (DENIED) this is a group of male javelinas that attacked the daylights out of my dogs. Until I booted one in the face with a kick they still even ran after us after. Next one attempted entry !? On video . Denied denied. Another one today very suspicious young 7 year old female trying to sell for the second day in a row a $10 single sticker ? Who does that ? Wanted to let me neighbors know. Denied denied denied. It’s a joke people post totally unrelated things and my posts are all denied don’t even bother. Waste of your time horrible app I will changing to arlo it’s so frustrating and dumb. Someone’s lost little turtle and a cat outside at night approved ?! Get real. Deleted and ring go pound sand.

The moderators constantly deny relevant posts. I’ve talked to several people including my own personal experience and have found that getting a post through is extremely difficult

I am really confused on the point of this app when they integrated Neighbors into the Ring app. Personally, I would like them separate since I want the Ring app to tell me only what is going on in and around my home. Then get notifications of the what is happening around the neighborhood in the Neighbors app. It is annoying to see a notification from Ring thinking someone is at the house only to see someone else has lost a cat. I am not trying to be insensitive to that either but in terms of if someone should not be on my property, a lost cat is not as of high concern in that moment. Right now I have both apps, but never get any notifications from the Neighbors app even though I have them set up. It will only push from the Ring app. So then what is the point of this app?

This may depend on your neighborhood, as the exact censor is not revealed. The corporation is well within their rights to censor any post they choose as this is a private reporting system not a free speech issue. However, for me I choose to disengage, delete the app, and provide this feedback.

I’m actually looking for something better .. This app rejected a post I put up . & saw post go up with no guidelines they requested. My first post experience was so horrible because it was after we had a mild earthquake.. I decided that I needed to delete the app immediately & go to social media about my horrible experience I have 10 thousand followers & I don’t want none of them to ever experience what I just went through with my post.
