    I have had one legit booking, and that was good. She didn’t get the address from Vrbo before check in and I had to message it to her on the day of arrival. I just received my third fraud inquiry like this but they all end with the numbers being typed out funny, trying to reduce the price, and getting off the site for payment (claiming cashier’s check). This reminds me of the scams that used to be on Craigslist. Owners BEWARE! Vrbo, please fix. They select our days and if we are connected to other platforms then they are selected until their non payment kicks them off. Here’s my recent scam that was in my inbox: “ Hello, Thanks for your response, I have discuss with my wife and we are both interested in your property. I will be coming with my wife, no kids and no pet for the vacation. It seems there a glitch with the vrbo app because the dates I inquired was June 2 through June 20 pls correct that and confirm the availability. My company will be taking care of the vacation so I can only make the payment by sending you a cashier check for it due to unsecured use of credit cards and other online payments, kindly get back to me with the mailing information and total quote for the night via my direct email onepeterhawkins G mail and you can also send the mailing information to my cell phone at #four #one #four #five #zero #two #nine #six #six #two, so we can further discuss this Thanks “
  • How can an app be this bad for this long

    Iv been managing properties for 4 years on both Airbnb and VRBO and I can’t express how bad this app is. It crashes constantly and logs me out of the app on a regular bases. Sad to see such a big company drop the ball on something so important for owners. Airbnb blows this out of the water in every single category!

    VRBO you have COUNTLESS terrible reviews for your app. It’s not user friendly and as a host I can not tell you how important it is to have a quick smooth experience to run a business and to be the best hosts we can be. Take notes from Airbnb’s app. If this doesn’t get fixed I think your losing a lot of potential money bc it seems like y’all don’t care.
  • Stop changing how one searches for properties .

    You use to be able to search an area and not have to put in dates to see what an owner had available . Now if I give someone my property number they can’t see my property unless dates are available . It really is a huge inconvenience when people have flexible dates

    There are major issues with this app. I’ve been stuck in an endless loop of it either telling me my password is incorrect, or it goes through but then gives me an error message saying it’s unable to connect. Whoever VRBO hired to build their app should be fired.

    Worst app on my phone. Have to login everytime I use it Crashes when I try to read messages I literally have to carry my computer around to answer guests questions

  • No attachment feature for Travelers

    We require travelers to provide government issued photo ID as proof of age as we have a minimum age requirement of at least 25 years old. The VRBO app for the traveler does not allow them to attach a photo ID. We have to instruct them how to use the web browser to send the requested information. This is a hassle factor for us.
