    I’m relatively new to meditation, having been consistent for about two years now. This app really resonated with me the most, after having tried the others available. Sometime I just use the timer but often I’ll choose a guided meditation based on the curated content themes. I also love the podcast and short talks with meditation included. Dan Harris has created something that has touched the lives of those who might not otherwise have found these effective, ancient practices! Thank you Dan and all the others who have worked so hard to help all of us on our mindfulness journeys!

    I’ve been on Happier (Formerly 10% Happier) since its first days. I can honestly say this app. and meditating daily has helped me rewire my brain. My family will attest, I am a different person. I am much less reactive, and more responsive. I have learned to slow down and let things unfold, instead of wanting or thinking I was in control of everything.     I unsubscribed after 5 years due to the new “check in” landing page. I have paid the 100 bucks a year for 5 years. The content IS high quality. Now, when you open the app, the landing page is an interactive “check in.” I have an extra click to get to a meditation. It would be great if they had a “lifetime membership” price. After having paid $500 for the services of this app—it was worth it. I kinda wish it was paid for and I could just ride out this annoyance until they fix it. But—It is too expensive to be broken/annoying. Every year, I decided—“I get a lot out of this app, I will buy it again.” But the landing page is a deal breaker. If I were able to keep the whole app—for free—for what I have already paid, I would. But I cannot emphasize enough how much I hate the “check in” as the landing page. I tried checking in—ughhh. If they want to offer a check-in section of the app—great! Offer check in. Offer journaling prompts. Offer habit checkers. BUT not on the landing page. ***A meditation should be on the landing page of the meditation app. It should be the first thing I see.

    I think the meditations this app has to offer are great, but I find the app a little hard to use. You set up your practice goals at the beginning of the month, but aren’t able to change them which is disappointing. The meditations that it offers on the homepage I assume are suggestions for me based on what I said in the survey, but they don’t always seem relevant. And I don’t like that you can’t curate a playlist or save courses you want to do. You just have to hope you remember they’re there or heart classes that you’ve never taken and just sound like one day you might. I wish there was a tutorial that they took you through to say here’s how we suggest using the app and choosing a mediation or course. Maybe I’m not supposed to be doing more than one course at a time. Or I’m supposed to be working through all of the suggested meditations. The main reason I write this review is I just did a practice, saw the yellow check, but then my practice progress didn’t update. That’s the first time I’ve seen a bug so I checked here if there was an update I missed.

    Sorry for the 1 star but that’s how this new update makes me feel. i liked the previous layout. it allowed me to explore on my own terms but not anymore. i also don’t like this check-in. it’s great for people who want that but for those who don’t it’d be great to opt out. also i miss the courses - there don’t seem to be as many new ones and i found them helpful. i understand trying to make things better but this update did not. now i’m having suggestions for meditations that don’t apply to me. please go back!

    I have purchased a lot of apps. They are generally fun at first but then the shine wears off and soon they end up in the delete pile. This one is different. I have learned so much. And whether it is just that voice that guides me to sleep at night or an introspective look at what is going on inside. This app really has helped me to get to that happier place.

    Found Harris’s book and then the app when life seemed to be falling apart. The guided meditations grounded me during the storms and helped me establish an enduring, if somewhat irregular, practice. Please keep doing what you are doing.
