I’ve loved NY Cooks for years. The recipes are well written and cover a vast range of cuisines. The test kitchen is top notch - if I follow the directions it actually will work. And during the Pandemic they went all out to offering 5 Things to Cook which gave us scrumptious recipes that were fun to make! I am a fan!!!

You can’t do anything with the app unless you agree to a free trial, followed by payment options to even see any recipes

I enjoy exploring the new recipes or variations on old standards of legacy recipes from my family. I’ve experienced more “Wow!” from dinner guests and shared cooking standards with my sons which has given them the confidence to try new things and inspired them to learn their way around the grocery store. I absolutely love the feature that adds grocery list items. Simple but brilliant. The pictures and layout of the pages is so inviting and easy to navigate. One of my travel preps when I will have the opportunity to have a kitchen is to select a few gems and enjoy the spirit of food and friends.

Whenever I need an idea for a dish or a meal I just need to ask the New York Times. I can fix something for myself or my whole family. Thank you so much. I have been recently diagnosed with celiac and I am lactose intolerant. This necessitates going through the New York Times recipes to find delicious meals for my family.

The app hijacks all links to NYT cooking but doesn’t seem to have parity with what can be found onsite. Decided to remove it
  • Always a winner
