  • iCloud sync issues

Overall app is great at logging what I need to and setting up fields that are most pertinent to me. The template is easily carried over to next logs and is also retrospective to all logs prior. I am giving a 3 star because if it weren’t for this issue I’d give 5 stars. I’ve had issues with iCloud sync across my iPads and there doesn’t seem to be any resolutions for this. I’ve looked at various wiki pages and FAQs and none have offered a solution for this. Each time I’ve tried to run an iCloud sync on my iPad 9th gen, it says I have to go into iCloud and ensure I’m signed in on the same iCloud account and that iCloud and log ten are on. Confirmed. Then to restart the app and it should work. That’s a negative. The same error comes up each time and I haven’t found a fix. It is frustrating to no end to see a feature designed for such ease to be not functioning as intended. I’ve decided to just log on my other iPad and not bother with the sync.
  • Would like to see a more polished interface, and importing on iOS

Would like to see some optimization to the interface (particularly on large screens). The layout of the logged flights is not compact at all. Would be good if there was a compact view that could be toggled. Also, I’d like to be able to generate reports with just the fields I select, instead of have to choose from layouts that they’ve made. Huge problem, lack of import options using iPad or iPhone. Instead, you MUST have a desktop mac. Honestly, after hand entering flights, and after trying the RosterBuster export workaround (which frankly, I have to go into the imported flights and clean up the data a lot), I’m not sure I’ll continue with the subscription after this year if import support isn’t implemented. Too much work.

Over the last four months this company will not provide a patch to regain my logbook from a previous IOS and version of the logbook. So I can transfer ten years and over 7000 hours of airline experience to the new version and now the logbook crashed again
  • Sync nightmare

Love the app, but if you using iCloud sync function be warned it will constantly empty out your IN & OUT times. I have contacted them and the solution works until it repeat again. No other including free apps ever have such an issue. It's to the point where I'm having to constantly take screenshots because it's just a matter of time the times will disappear again. You can read the reviews from others. This is an ongoing common issue. So if you value your hours you have been warned. If you are not keeping a close eye one day you will find yourself in for a nightmare

Sure LogTen comes with a price tag, but it’s fantastic. Well designed, great layout and very user friendly. Love Dropbox backup option also. I recommend to all beginning students and even a couple FA’s.

Can only use my MacBook to log hours at the moment. Anytime I make corrections, changes, adds on the MacBook since it’s easier to edit, it somehow does a weird sync and reverts back to the phone / iPad entry. It’s so buggy I deleted the app off my phone / iPad.
  • Not as seamless as I hoped

I started using LogTen since my flight school advertised its integration with flight schedule pro. However, LogTen, even though it is integrated to some extent, does not pull in any previous flight data from FSP. The only way to have “accurate” time accumulation is to input all previous flight time as one lump amount, without showing one bit of detail. I’m not about to go in manually to add previous flights when the seamless integration is the reason I signed up. Oh well, looks like I’ll be continuing to use my paper logbook and MS excel.

This makes logging flights so much easier. Wish I was using this since the beginning. Awesome app.

I pay for the package that lets you use the app across your iphon/ipad & mac. It is considerably more for the package that allows access on your mac, and as much as I enjoy using it on my ipad and iphone, the icloud sync is pretty useless. I’ve followed their troubleshooting tips and have even contacted customer support several times and the blame always goes to “it’s problems with icloud”. I don’t buy this, I have plenty of other apps that sync across icloud with no problem and for the money you charge that’s not a satisfactory reason for why my logbooks don’t sync. If it really is an issue with icloud invest in a server and remove icloud from the equation, god only knows, as everyone who pays for your logbook we certainly pay enough, especially since it’s just about as expensive as a foreflight subscription which includes a digital logbook, which surprise surprise has no issues syncing. Stop resting on your laurels and improve, your prices have certainly gone up since what they were before so now fix these issues
  • Just not reliable

I have tried to use this app since November. It does not import information from my company (SkyWest), so I have to input each flight manually. It says it can sync across all my devices, but in the last two weeks it has stopped recognizing my other devices over my home Wi-Fi and no longer will sync. Their customer service is not quick to respond and fix the apps problems. I’m not happy with this app, and if they can’t make it work promptly, I’m going to have to find something more reliable.
