You cannot login to your Morningstar account with this app.

although. i can log into my morningstar account on web with ipad or iphone (Safari browser), the app returns an error when i try to access my account “does not match information…”. i have tried changes suggested online to configuration ( cookies, java, etc) to no avail.

Morningstar has some good independent analysis, some misguided independent analysis and a lot of gibberish advice and market commentary, but my focus is not on the product but Morningstar’s inability to deliver it. The technology supporting its sites is horrible. It freezes frequently. it skips to pages you aren’t interested in. Pages just disappear while you’re trying to read them, presumably because the system is trying to refresh data. It’s difficult to search for securities, because the system wants you to input names and gets confused by symbols, and then when you identify what you’re looking for it often just disappears before you can access the link. The underlying technology doesn’t seem well designed to access efficiently the amount of data Morningstar currently has in the system.

What you used to give me with annual subscription you’re now going to charge an additional $35/mo?! Will not be renewing my subscription after using your service for decades. I very much hope that a lot more of your subscribers vote with their feet.

Loaded iPad app. When I sign on I expect to have access to all the Morningstar premium services that I previously paid for.

I enjoy Morningstar. I find it kind of interesting and it has been a lot of help in my investments. I did like the way it was in the beginning when I first signed onto it compared to now it seemed like there was more information on those days and it’s harder to find the information now, but other than that I have no problem

When I first used the app, it seemed like just what I was looking for. I considered upgrading to the premium version but it seems like there is a serious issue with logins. Now I’m glad I waited.

Just signed up via desktop and iPad app does not work. Very disappointed and will be going back to Seeking Alpha.

Paid for subscription online and app says login doesnt work even though it works at the website.

The old portfolio manager was so much better than this new version. I now have to manually sort to get my highest percentage weight assets listed at the top- each and every time I log in. This is so inconvenient and it takes so long to render. I wish we could go back to the old layout/ funcionality. So much more useful. Tech was refreshed, but they forgot to deliver the old more convenient use cases. I just got an iPad and the app only works in landscape mode. Default I want is portrait but that doesn’t work. Why can’t it work in portrait mode? I tried to use my iPhone app on my iPad but the iPhone app only opens up the size of my phone and not the size of my iPad. I feel like Morningstar is trying to loose my business by frequently disappointing their customers than delight them. Technology is definitely not their wheel house. 😡🤢
