ClassLink Platform SSO for macOS allows students, educators, and staff to sign in to their Mac from the macOS login window using their ClassLink username and password.
Built on Apple's Platform SSO framework, this extension uses your school system’s ClassLink identity service for device-level macOS sign-in. Once signed in, users can access supported native and web apps throughout their session.
IT administrators can deploy the extension through an MDM solution to support centralized account and access management across their Mac fleet.
Key capabilities:
- Use ClassLink account to sign in to macOS from the device login window
- Single sign-on access to supported native and web apps after initial sign-in
- On-demand local account creation using ClassLink identity
- Password sync between local macOS accounts and ClassLink
- Support for shared Mac environments, including guest login
