I picked up an iPad and went to play, and noticed my progress wasn’t showing up. Checked on my phone and my progress had been completely reset there. Please fix this issue.

I personally appreciate the game, and it has very good music, aesthetics, and mechanics, though I feel it is a bit lacking in content. The game seems to bug on certain android systems though, such as Samsung S22. The game will open up to black and load up to the google play symbol, then promptly freeze and crash. Overall, a very good mobile game, but as of right now, android users should be careful when buying the full game.

I absolutely love Wildfrost, great roguelike and endlessly entertaining! I played it on my partner’s PC and was really happy to see that it’s come to mobile so I downloaded it. Still has all the great parts of the game but something that bugs me a lot is that the placement of your cards in-game means that while dragging cards to the board, sometimes it pulls up the drag-up menu for my phone (Apple in my case) and my card lands in a random spot. Has been a thorn in my side, just lost a really good run to the menu dragging instead of the card and it ultimately cost me the run I was about to win.

Art is nice but I’m not a fan of the game architecture or style. I was hoping for something closer to night of the full moon
  • Incredible deck builder with lots of replay ability.

What I love about this game is the replay value. Not only are leader cards procedurally generated, there is around 100 cards in total that you can add to your deck and each card can be modified by up to three different charms which enables you to create a vast amount of customization, and ensures that no two play through are the same. Additionally each time you defeat the game, the final boss changes in a way that requires you to adapt your play style. There are also storm bells which increase the challenge level of the play through. An additional aspect that encourages replays is unlocking new items through completing quests. It is hard not to compare this game to Slay the Spire, so I will say how I feel they are different. StS punishes risk taking behavior because you need to save your health for the final boss, in Wild Frost as long as your leader survives till the end of the battle you regain all your health for the next fight. WF is also far more fast paced, a play through can take 20 minutes where I have spent an hour+ on StS only to lose on the last boss. StS has a lot more random events than WF. Lastly I feel that WF enables greater deck synergies to be created and includes more gimmicks and game mechanics than StS.

The demo hooked me pretty quickly so it was an easy buy when it ended. Very Slay the Spire-like. Synergies feel really good and gameplay is quick and snappy. Very easy to hop in and hop out.

It isn’t a freemium game. You only pay once to unlock the full game. I find this a really great addition to the deck building genre collection. Smooth to use, fun to learn, visually appealing with its cute graphics. Judging by the other reviews, maybe it isn’t easy for people new to the genre? I am enjoying it a lot though.
