  • Nanit Sound and Light - would not recommend

The app continuously disconnects and I have to reset the device everytime I want to change the color or the sound. I have tried numerous things including reaching out to the Nanit support line without a response. Would not recommend this device or app.
  • Mostly Good with Room for Improvement

I like the favorites and the light. The sound is high quality. The light can get very bright and vibrant. I like that it can be used as an audio monitor (this is the main differentiator since it also plays sound). Things I wish could be better: 1) a way to dim the clock numbers since they are VERY bright - there is no way we could have it in our master. 2) improve the audio monitoring which is still in “beta” - occasionally the listening mode will drop out and again this is really the key feature. 3) track the cry alerts like how the camera does - yes, there is a phone notification, but then you cannot see a history of alerts in the app which is helpful if you have a care giver. 4) implement a way to truly only have Amber or Red light since Blue light is bad for babies sleep pattern. 5) integrate it better with the camera app - having two apps is annoying. I guess you’ve made it so you can switch between the two but when you have a care giver… it’s just one more thing.
  • Disappointing Travel Experience

No ability to connect only with Bluetooth, account creation and sign in is just a waste of time, no conceivable value there. No integration with iOS password manager, cannot easily have partner connect to the Nanit because it’s tied to my device.
  • Love the light

Love the light and settings for baby, but I wish there was a battery meter somewhere so I could see the when it needs to be plugged in. Instead it just dies with no warning.
  • Good app - pleas provide cry log

Can’t figure out where to send this feedback directly. Your app has no internal feedback mechanism. I want a log of the baby cry detection notifications. They come on to my phone’s Notification Center but if I accidentally clear them, that’s it - gone. Please provide a log so I can look back at the cry notifications. Thanks! PS, I have no problem with this being a separate app because I only have Sound & Light, not the camera. This app is perfect for my needs in that regard.
  • Disconnects daily

The device disconnects everyday. I have to reboot daily to reconnect. It is unusable at this point because I cannot trust it. I can see that the device is paired to my router. The issue seems to be with the application. Please fix asap.

So far I’m loving this. But I want more colors and more sounds to be added

  • My first app review

I have never written a review for an app before. I am so beyond frustrated and annoyed with this product. Nannit sent me two of these sound machines and yet neither of them work. I am going to literally throw it out of the window and watch it fall from a five story building and have a very positive reaction to seeing and hearing it obliterate against the concrete below.
  • After Update, Works Great

My initial review noted how I was unable to have the sound/light connect to the app. Recently, Nanit pushed out an update correcting that issue and I am able to use the item with ease. Appreciate the fix! They also added a feature to schedule the light to turn off, so that was a nice add to the auto turn on option. All in, this item now works great and I’m happy we have it. I am giving 4 stars because I still think it shouldn’t be it’s own separate app from the camera.
