Description

Color Picker, the utility application, designed for all Cocoa developers and application designers. An efficient color picker, for professionals, who care about optimizing their workflow and speed up their process. With Color Picker, you can choose any color from everywhere on your screen using the magnifier and selecting your desired pixel. Then a preview of the color, its Hexadecimal, RGB value, NSColor and UIColor is displayed. You can copy the code with a single click, drag 'n drop or use the new shortcuts to paste it into your source code. Color Picker has now become even better. - With the new Menubar option, you can quickly access your recently copied or recently saved colors. - Drag and drop your code from the application to any program you are working on. (e.g. Xcode) Additionally, the app can read any HEX or RGB values that you might type and show you the corresponding color and code.
Last but not least, Color Picker gets you out of trouble remembering the colors you used, as it contains a library, where you can store the colors for any use in the future, simply by dragging the preview box to the library. Especially for developers is now given the chance of Zero suppression, where they can remove redundant zeroes from the float numbers, as well as appending a semicolon in the source code. Key Features: - Touch bar integration - Added menubar icon - Added recently saved and copied colors - Code is draggable to other apps (e.g. Xcode) - HEX or RGB value showing in the magnifier - Retina support - Pick up any color using the new built-in magnifying glass tool - Save as many colors in the library for future use. - Copy the format you need for your source code (e.g. NSColor, UIColor, HEX, RGB) Color Picker requires macOS 10.10 or later Visit our website to contact us www.nscoding.co.uk for anything you may need or wonder! This app no longer works. Don't waste your money and Apple please remove apps that no longer work.

Used to be a great tool, but now it is fixed to the Apple color selector that crashes often. Basically it has no real good use and had to find another option. Too bad.

Without the custom magnifier it is literally just the color picker that comes with the computer. what’s worse is that there is not even the ability to save color palates – that would seem like an essential feature
  • Displays Incorrect HEX Codes

In Google Slides I filled an object with a specific HEX color. Using the Colorzilla Chrome Extension I pointed the picker at the object and confirmed the color was correct. Then using the Color Picker app I pointed the eye dropped at the same object and was given a different HEX read out. This app does not work.
  • Designed by people who have never used a color picker

If you asked someone who didn't know what a color picker was, why someone would use one, or how it worked, and provided no other information, they'd still come up with a better tool than this. Unless you enjoy vague navigation through three screens and still never being able to figure out how the thing works, then this is the tool to use. If, however, you'd like to use more of your life not figuring out how somone could screw up something as simple as a color picker so badly, then find something else.

If I cant pick a color... it doesn't really matter what else the app does.
  • Amazing until Apple got involved

I really hope Apple starts letting you use their custom magnifier because it's a very annoying additional step to include theirs. Thank you for the good times.
  • Still a great app. But Apple made things harder.

The two click process provided by the native color has turned into a 3 click, multiwindow process involving Apple's native color picker. From what I'm reading in another review, this seems to not be the developers fault and was compelled by Apple. Still a terrific and stable app. Recommended.
  • Doesn't work

I just paid for this and it doesn't do anything. Similar to another review, I click on the magnified glass and it just open the color picker wheel. Did this app just still my money?
