I started reading the Boston Sunday Globe when playing at the Monteux Conducting School during the summer starting in 1968 in Hancock, Maine. When moving to the Boston area in 1976, I started reading it daily. I loved the Thursday Calendar of Events that included Concerts for the ensuing week. I now miss that most of all. Today, News, Editorials, & Arts are well covered as they always have been. I miss Derrick Jackson’s editorials. I still find Jacoby’s annoying or inaccurate. Time marches on.

Nice going. This is a pleasant, colorful, visually capturing journalistic presentation. Thanks. James W. Crawford Lincoln
  • Usability

The latest version is probably the worst this app has been especially the e-paper. Continually loses track when expanding an article and then will not return. Sometimes force closing the app will resolve it but not always. On my 3rd attempt today to try and go forward reading and it will not allow. This after rebooting as well using an iPad with latest OS and upgrades. Though it was the same before the latest OS update so it’s the app that is not very useful at all. Sometimes have to wait till the next days paper to go back and read yesterday’s news…. Not ideal by any measure.
  • App revamp not well thought out

The old app was better and more user friendly. This update is not as easy to navigate the e-paper. Plus, the NYT-like games changed the buttons and are clunky (a slight nuisance).
  • The earlier app was better than this one.

I feel the earlier version before the last update was better than this one. Please see if you can at least incorporate some of the features of the earlier version as this version is NOT AT ALL BETTER and in fact leaves a lot to be desired.
  • Redesign is unreadable

The recent redesign has made the app nearly unreadable. Headlines don’t stand out and the order of stories is unclear. Either go back to the old version or learn from the NYT and WSJ apps.
  • Reformat Fail

This used to be a great app, but someone must have gotten bored and decided to make changes. Now it’s glitchy, and hard to navigate even when it works well. I mostly subscribe to the Globe for its coverage of sports. I used to be able to zero right in on news about the Patriots. Now I have to go through a series of awkward drop down menus, and even then half the time the link takes me back to the front page.
  • Good format - no search

I enjoy the format of the articles but have trouble finding articles from previous issues that have been recommended to me. A more visible search function would be very welcome.
  • Your online format

You omit numerous stories from your online format that appear in print. You also repeat the same stories when I scroll through the online format.
