  • Mostly fake profiles

This app is full of fake profiles or bots. If you do get a human they openly say they want a relationship but really just want to hook up once. Very unreliable app for any sort of meaningful connection.

Removed my account with no warning and refused to tell me what policy I violated. Never had a single complaint from any of my matches prior to my account my being deleted.

The app gives you more of an opportunity to express your personality and communicate with people. There are still a number of features that are clearly only included to extract money from people like the Roses, which you have to pay for even if you subscribe and are used to interact with fake accounts of attractive people. These matches will say “Hi,” then nothing else. Give it a shot but don’t bother subscribing.

  • Maybe the worst dating app

The title of worst dating app for me is hard to delegate, because I’ve been unsatisfied with every one that I’ve tried. I hate the way they’ve shaped the way people interact in the modern age and have created hookup culture and flooded women with so much interest and left men competing more than they ever had to in the past. But they’re here to stay it seems. Hinge is one of the few that I’ve never had a date off of. All dating apps, hinge included, have developed algorithms to keep free members from getting quality matches in order to promote their paid membership. Hinge’s algorithm is one of the most harmful towards young men my age. The only positive thing I have to say about it is that it’s not outrageously priced. Other services, namely eharmony charge an outrageous $55/month for the same thing. I’ve had negative experiences with all dating apps but I’ve literally never had a date off of hinge despite the exact same profile on tinder that has generated me at least a few quality dates. I expect women’s experience with the app is very different but I can’t not recommend it enough to young men between 18 and 25. Women actively filter you out it seems.

After having the app for a few days I was suddenly banned and with no explanation. Having a legal background, I actually read the terms of use when signing up for things like this. I knew I was not in violation of any of the rules so I am immediately filed an appeal. I received a follow up to the appeal asking me to use a third-party service to upload a government issued ID. There was still no explanation as to why I was banned. I will certainly not be giving them a government issued ID. They already collected enough information from me at sign up. This process is identity theft in the making. Absolutely not worth it.

Will there be an option to share photos in the messaging app with matches? It helps with conversation flow.
  • Shows same people over and over

Like the fact that many pictures are included. Nothing exciting here. Few good matches and very limited options. Need the ability to add more details to profiles. After a couple of weeks, you just see the same profiles over and over. Why pay for that?
  • pay to get likes/matches no thanks

this app is a scam, if you aren’t paying you aren’t gonna find what you’re looking for because you the ones you are compatible with are just behind a paywall. this why dating is so hard nowadays.
