    When it comes to trip management apps, App in the Air is my go to app. For booking hotels and flights, it’s among the best I’ve seen on a mobile app in terms of user interface. However, with the latest update, the app has randomly locked up on the main booking page. Also, I’ve seen an occasional ‘failed to load results’ error when selecting a hotel from the search results list. As either issue happens rarely, it’s a minor matter that I’m sure they can correct in future updates. As a suggestion, I’d like to see the app detail what the ‘supports loyalty program’ when booking hotels. Does that really mean that one would get the same rates and rewards points as though the booking was made direct with the hotel brand? As it doesn’t ask for my hotel brand member number, I’m curious how that would work.

    So I booked a hotel stay within this app. And they have charged my card. I screenshot the statement. Yet they said the cancelled the booking because they can’t verify my payment. Funny! It has been charged but they can’t verify. So, don’t waste your time. Now they told me they’re doing the refund within 1-7 days. Let’s see if that’s true. Such a waste of time. Avoid doing any transaction within this app.

    If you are having an issue with this app, don’t expect it to be resolved quickly. I have asked them to call me numerous times and I’m about to lose money because of this company. Absolutely ridiculous

  • Starting to miss the mark

    Premium options are way to expensive to even remotely consider it. The ads creeping in for travel insurance, eSIMs, etc. are also making this app les useful and easy to use. I do enjoy using this to keep track of my flights past, present, and future but I think it’s starting to miss the mark for me.

  • Poor Flight Sync. Constant Ads in Paid App

    This is the only travel app that has difficulty synchronizing all of my flights. This is also the only one out of the four paid travel apps that continually displays ads. I have asked them to disable them, unless I explicitly consent. I promise to do that. They lied.

    Best thing about app in the air is being able to look down on my phone and see a push alert locked on my phone telling me how much time is left on my flight !

  • Confusing app but has some good features

    Been using the app for a couple years and bought the lifetime subscription so I’m stuck with it. Good features are that that it imports from TripIt. It can split flights between your own and other people. It updated to include live activities feature. Now for the bad - some flights are inaccurate or delayed. The app itself is confusing and has too much unnecessary information such as “check in” countdown, “boarding” countdown. The checkin is not even accurate per airline as southwest allows checkin 10 mins before departure but appintheair chooses an arbitrary time. Also lots of advertising to book hotels and other nonsense. If I was starting again I may go for their other competitor flighty

    It is all good with the app except the past flights information can’t be found in all 2023 (including the flight number, departure and arrival). Hope you can fix this.

    Best app available for your trip is very Accurate. You can see if there’s a Delay, if there’s a delayed of your flight is very accurate the information.
