    You would think with over 1 million reviews, so much more than their music app, the developers would put a little more thought into their podcast app. But every time they ‘update’ it, it gets worse and more frustrating to use. I don’t want them to choose for me what I’m going to listen to next. I want to be able to create an ‘up next’ list and actually have it saved. And when I open the app, not have the ‘play next’ screen be what is open. Especially since it’s not even what I want to play next. Secondly, in the settings menu, when asked how you want the Order of shows to appear, please make it so you can have oldest season 1st not just newest season, oldest to newest and newest to oldest. What about all those audio dramas where you have to start from the oldest season and listen in order‽ COME ON PEOPLE!! Stop making the app worse! The only reason I stay with this app is because there isn’t another one with all the shows I listen to on another.

  • Worst App I Use

    I am a veteran podcast listener and for years this app worked fine for my needs. Over maybe the last year though, it’s become so frustrating that I keep looking for other options. I agree with others who have noted that it autoplays strange selections instead of making it easy and reliable for us to queue up episodes. But my biggest problem is the long waits between tapping something on the app and having the next screen pop up. Sometimes the “Loading” message spins for over a minutep, and it’s rarely less than 15 secondaries. Especially since queueing isn’t as easy now, or as reliable due to the random autoplays, multiple taps are often needed between episodes/selections. When each tap brings an extended loading delay, which does not occur on any other app I use, it becomes a pretty big deterrent to using this one. Very disappointing because I’ve loved this app for years before this started happening.

    Love listening to shows while I’m cutting the grass out doing whatever. It’s cool that you can listen to shows off line when not connected to data or WiFi after you download an episode. Many interested podcasts to listen to, great variety. I also love the new transcript option, makes it so much easier to skip through all the useless stuff and get to parts of the podcast that you want to. 👍
