I discovered Headspace during the COVID-19 pandemic and as a I attempted to navigate the twists and turns of life during that time (and since), I found that the daily ritual of meditation really helped me find balance. As a teacher, parent, husband, and son, the demands and expectations can become overwhelming, and this app has given me tools to approach difficult situations in a way that feels manageable and sustainable. Thanks to all who created this resource and continue to keep it going!

this is a great and awesome app, for the people willing to pay monthly. if you don’t pay then you literally can’t do anything

If you sign up for the free trial and cancel it before it ends they will charge you anyways and refuse to refund you! (Google search this it has happened to others). I had a 12-day trial, canceled it a day into the trial and was charged $75. Watch out
  • Aggressively Commercial

Immediately faced with upgrade features, offers, pushes to "share with friends." One goes here to seek peace and is glutted with a cacophany of bells and whistles, profit-seeking assaults on the consciousness. Makes me meditate on what it is the business values. As for a simple meditation, I still can't find my way through the hurdles. I want less, not more. That's the point of meditation.
  • Beware of auto-renew

I thought I had canceled the auto renew, but a charge appeared with an email notifying me that it has been renewed for another year. I contacted customer support the date it renewed however they refused to issue any refund. In addition, it seems that they did not notify me by email a week or so prior to the auto renew like most other companies would. Not recommended.

There is a lot to like with this app. I appreciate the variety offered - from sleep podcasts to white noise to meditation. I’ve found it helpful in multiple ways (relaxation, sleep, etc.). There’s just one functional aspect of the app I find frustrating. You can’t listen to something while also exploring other parts of the app. It will stop playing. Even clicking the “i” for information about what you are currently listening to will stop whatever you are listening to, abruptly. I wish it would function similarly to Spotify - where the controls (play, forward, etc) display as a banner at the bottom of the screen, and the sound continues even if you explore other parts of the app.
  • Paying for EVERYTHING

When downloading this app I thought there would just be a subscription for premium or something but then I found that I can’t access ANYTHING unless I pay for it 😡 there should be at least a few free things even if there are adds I would understand

It was okay using the app, helpful for a time, but only for a month or two before it became repetitive and commercialized. I stopped using it and tried to cancel the subscription. Then was charged $9.99 for a renewal fee that I did not want. I contacted customer support but they told me refunds could not be issued, which I find to be a really bad form of customer service and money grabbing. It’s unfortunate that a helpful app can have underlying tendencies to not help their customers with issues they have.
  • App content is good, everything else is bad

The UI is really annoying to navigate, you can’t pin anything, you’re forced to navigate to it through what is essentially a poorly organized folder structure. Also, saying “people who identify as women” is a weird way to say “women”. Not wrong per se, just a very weird way to say that. Also, please stop trying to get me to create a schedule or report on my stress levels. I don’t want to do that. Asking me every time I use your app will not convince me to do that, it will simply annoy me. Please let me disable this. That said, I enjoy the app’s content, they just have made it annoying to access.
