  • Defective Apps Cause Stress

A meditation app is a good idea, and there are better ones out there. This app does not give you credit for completing any activity. If your coach gives you a list of activities to try, that list will not change no matter how many you complete. No matter what you try or do, your ToDo list stays full and your Completed list stays empty. Somewhat ironically, this is a very stressful experience for an app user. Additionally, the app provides a very counter-intuitive user experience. Clicking on things in your history kicks off a new session, rather than giving you a more detailed view of your past activity. Someone really needed to put some thought into design before sending this to development.

Headspace is a must download. It helped me through so much. It gave me the right time and stuff that I needed. I really love it as a 10-year-old struggling with anxiety. I just gave me a time to sit and relax. I’m super Duper happy I download it, but when I first got into it like a problem first got into it like wouldn’t let me in but I’m super happy I have it. I’ve been using it for one year now and it really helped me through a lot. Thank you so much Headspace I would be gladly happy if you responded thank you bye.

Be careful if you sign up for a paid subscription, they make it pretty hard to cancel. You can’t cancel in the app
  • Love the courses, the content is cluttered

I love the course and single session offerings of Headspace. I learn a lot and they help me become more present in my efforts to accept what is vs. long for what “should” be. But the interface is cluttered with too many suggestions and I have a hard time finding the course I’m currently taking. When I open the app, I want to see the next session in my course first, not a list of other options.
  • Amazing contents, ethically questionable sales-forward approach

Downloaded this app again while I was having a panic attack because I really thought a 15-minute meditation in that guy’s soothing voice would calm me down. I liked it when I used it a while ago in 2020 and I remember there being a bunch of free meditations that were accessible without premium, but now it seems that nothing is in front of the paywall, not even the basic “learn mediation” sessions (if anything is, it’s real hard to find). I spent five minutes clicking around the app, which has a very unfortunately crowded and confusing user interface, looking for absolutely anything to listen to and everywhere I looked it was just pay us now this, get coaching for $33 that, etc. Since I had $4 in my bank account I left the app mad at it to just use YouTube instead and found a Headspace meditation on there but then every word the guy said made me irritable so I had to turn it off and watch a tv show until the panic attack was over. I know you don’t care about the experience of just one customer or about losing just one customer, but I’m gonna get insight timer or something and I hope your material exploitation money earns your employees good karma
  • Great App, With A Caveat

I love Headspace, I’ve had a subscription for years now, but the addition of mental health coaching concerns me. By itself it would be great, but the price tag of $33.33 per session makes me concerned they may be going the route of Betterhelp, which is notorious for its subpar mental health resources, HIPAA violations, mining of users’ personal data, and toxic work environment for their therapists. I think it would be in Headspace’s best interest to backpedal on the mental health coaching (which notably doesn’t advertise as being led by licensed professionals?) and stick to what they excel at.
  • Too Expensive

You literally can't do anything without paying for the subscription. I bet itd be amazing. However you can’t do anything without paying for it and that’s not all the app is advertised.

A wonderful app. I use the meditations, the music, the sleep casts. The podcast conversations are great too. It’s nice to know it’s there whenever I need it.
  • Plenty of better options.

in a crowded market full of meditation apps, Headspace Falls glaringly short. I tried Headspace for about six months and found it elementary. There are plenty of serious competitors like Calm or even Insight Timer teach the skill of meditation rather than relying on gimmicky marketing tactics and cartoons to get folks to subscribe.
