I would pay for this app because I dig the community, except the app is rarely improved and plagued with problems. The Free version freezes constantly, seemingly because it’s failing to load ads correctly, which it TRIES to do all the time as you navigate around. The app often doesn’t stay open if you navigate away to, say, look up an item or answer a text. If you didn’t save the listing you were looking at, you have to search for it again. No “Recent listings” or “Recent searches”, making it harder to keep track. WORST: Unresponsive sellers are allowed to keep items up indefinitely, clogging the listings with un-buyable items that waste your time sending unanswered messages. There’s a ton of ad listings that take you away from the app. Also, sellers often spam multiple listings for the same items and no matter how much you report them, they remain. Much improvement needed for a subscription to be worthwhile, IMO.

As if the ads to buy the premium subscription weren’t annoying enough, every 2 posts that you scroll down, you’ll have a massive ad that sometimes is made to look like the feed just to make them that much more annoying. You’ll just be scrolling and the ad will react like you clicked it. OH and if all those weren’t bad enough, they’ll also then hit you with full screen ads that have timers… I usually just leave to Marketplace at that point tho.

  • Need an actual Blocking Feature

Hello I think I’ve reached out about this before. When you block someone. They are still allowed to go into your page. And look through your main photo. And listings. Why are you guys not taking your blocking feature seriously! People like myself post things. And on the pictures people like myself. Post a sale and have the address on the pictures! For safety reasons. If you block someone. They shouldn’t be able to see any of your information! This made it very unsafe for me last wk. when I had a customer who was threatening me. I blocked him. He was mad cause an item I had sold out! He then shows up to my house of work. Because I post all my plants for sale in a general post. And this has my address on it! I had to call the police and file a restraining order! “Offer Up” You were put down in the police report. As this is where he can from and got my information. Because you people don’t have a full blocking system in place! Every other platform in the world. If you block someone. They can’t see you nor msg you! This is common practice! And OfferUp you will one day catch a serious pressing matter. If you don’t fix something that takes less then an hour. And easy to fix! Think about the females out here that use this app! Think about the predators that use this app! Get serious with your blocking feature. I’m serious!
