  • Many years of Fitbit

I’ve had a Fitbit for about 15 years. I had an Apple Watch for two years and after having to charge it every afternoon (less than a day!) I went back to my Fitbit that gives me six days!! I love the sleep feature best of all.
  • Too bloated

Every time they “improve “update this app, it gets more bloated with features users say they do not want( see the Fitbit forum)) and it takes even longer to sink than the time before. Since Google bought it, it wants all of your personal information, all the time. It also has a daily activity comment, which cannot be turned off, which criticize you for not meeting its imaginary goals. Very depressing.

Only works when it wants to.

This is my 2nd Charge device after upgrading from a Charge 3. I have enjoyed the symbiosis for everyday tracking and during exercise- walking, biking, running. The app has plenty of features including being able to share data with family and friends. However, syncing with the app is a bit laggy but eventually it catches up.
  • Cardio Load wonky

I’ve liked fitbit for my basic fitness regulation and diet needs and aside from a rash from the silicon wristband easily resolved, it’s worked well as a movement motivator and blood pressure lower-er which is why I got it. It now says I have excellent cardio fitness and I do feel more balanced. 5 stars for all that. Now I have a qualm however. Introducing the Cardio Load aspect might be good in theory as it’s usually harder to earn than zone min. However it’s so technically wonky and devoid of a useful pattern as a metric, I’m beginning to feel it is, if not literally a hacker’s experimental intrusion, then inserted in that beta spirit, or even in the more sinister general tech ‘morally neutral’ monstrousness coming to light recently on the national stage i.e., a random number generator designed just to see if and/or how much the app can, ahem, jerk users around. I’m either going to ignore it or go free solo (no more trackers) one of these days soon.

Overall, I enjoy and appreciate the Fitbit app, but it does not seem to update automatically on my iPhone 15.

With my old phone, I would get notifications from text messages, and calls. This feature does not work with my new iPhone
