The app is very clunky. During routing through the city, the app does not start to provide the information at a site, instead you have to click on it. The audio voice is very annoying with the robotic style. It just reads exactly what’s written in the article, including the address. Overall, this app is not set up as a walking guide, but just dots on the map with some facts.

I was able to customize the introductory London walk to start from my hotel.
  • Data would never load.

Data would never load. Even after subscribing. The app NEVER once opened the walk we set up on line. Even deleted, turned phone off and on and reloaded. NOTHING would load. Ever. Very disappointing.

The app has great potential, and get the Feedback option opens an email addresses to no one. As such, there’s no way to actually offer feedback as to how to improve the app. One significant way to improve it would be to ensure that it doesn’t constantly want to RE-download its data set. The app constantly re-downloads 100+ megabytes. I can’t afford that sort of data plan, and it even downloads if I turn off cellular data.

I am a big fan of this app. You can’t beat the price and it makes planning your day and navigating your way through a city a much less stressful endeavor. The customization feature lets you adjust the tour to meet your needs. Additionally, if you have children it is easy to pause and let them explore as you are not tied to a tour guide. Highly recommend there is no downside.

  • Great go-to travel app

My wife and I are fortunate to be able to travel the world on vacation a lot. For example, two world cruises in the past 18 months. For walkable cities that exist on the app, which is an awful lot of them, this app is terrific. There are pre-loaded “walks,” or you can customize from a list of sites. The app will put the sites in the most efficient order — just tell it where to start. You get 2-4 paragraphs describing each site (just enough), and gps-based walking directions (plus distance info). Best of all, so long as you have internet when you download the walk in your hotel/cruise ship, you DON’T need internet while you walk around — the gps still works. Well worth the price to get the upgraded version.

This is a great app if you’re going to take a walking tour somewhere. It requires cell service to do the best, but if you learn to use it well, you can find exactly where to go to see the best parts of a city. You won’t wander around looking for the best places. This app shows each one, includes an extensive history and description.

Purchased the app, it worked fine during the trial period and then stopped. Crashes all the time.

Great idea- lots of useful information. As stated by others, some glitches to fix, and it would be great if you could see you location on downloaded maps.
