Was looking for a quicken replacement. I don't use all the bells and whistles and didn't want a subscription model - CheckBookPro is perfect for me. And a low one time cost.

I want to have each new entry to be filled in with the last information entered so all I have to do is add a new date and amount.

This program is easy to learn and adaptable to both banking AND year end tax returns as just two examples. I needed info on setting up a year end report for our taxes and got a detailed reply next day. Top shelf and I ordered the family subscrption for the rest of us....

I was attempting to stop subscriptions for my personal financial record keeping. I was disappointed that 1) reconciliations did not transfer with the data I imported from my QIF files; 2) there is no way to provide a beginning and ending date to reconcile the accounts; 3) with the deficiency of the reconciliations, I may as well stick with my spreadsheets. It is important to me that, as a retired accountant, I maintain reconciliations as part of my personal bookkeeping. I could go back and reconcile all accounts from my beginning of household account reconciliation, but without a date function, this doesn't appear to work. Am I missing something with the account reconciliations?

I refuse to pay for a subscription service with Intuit not to mention having all of my financial information stored on someone else's server in the cloud. I want MY data on MY computer. Period. Checkbook Pro gives me that peace of mind.

This is a great product to keep up with my checkbook transaction on my computer. Would recommend it to anyone that needs away to keep up with thier spending.
