App is just as garbage for hosts as it is for guests. Cluttered, unusable, confusing. Terrible.

after multiple years and giving tens of thousands of dollars to this app while traveling, i had the host start going into my area. and when i complain about my privacy being invaded, they remove my account from the app. absolute worst service/support that i’ve ever had the misfortune of having to deal with, and i recommend anyone who has an ounce of self respect to use a different app for travel purposes. between my case getting bounced around to 15 different “agents / indians” and each of them telling me they don’t have the pay grade to help me. be warned

I am deeply frustrated with how Airbnb handled my recent reservation. I had planned to stay at a cabin in Asheville this past weekend, but due to Hurricane Helene, I was concerned about whether it was safe to proceed with the trip. I contacted Airbnb in an attempt to reach the host for two reasons: first, to ensure they were safe after the storm, and second, to inquire about the condition of the roads and the property. After several failed attempts, I finally managed to speak with Airbnb after the weekend had passed. On October 9th, Airbnb successfully reached the host, who assured them that there were no damages to the property and confirmed that I could move forward with the reservation. However, two days later, on October 11th, as I was already en route to North Carolina, I realized I hadn’t received the check-in information. I contacted the host, who promised to send the details via the Airbnb messaging platform shortly. Nearly two hours later, I received an email from Airbnb informing me that my reservation had been cancelled. Shocked, I immediately called Airbnb for clarification. The customer service representative informed me that the host had just reported additional storm damage that day. As far as I’m aware, the storm had ended weeks ago, making this claim impossible. While I did receive a refund, this entire situation could have been avoided had Airbnb addressed my concerns when I first reached out. Moving forward, Airbnb should prioritize their customers’ safety and well-being rather than financial gain. I also expect Airbnb to address the host’s dishonest handling of the situation. His lack of transparency not only wasted my time but also put me at risk of arriving at a damaged property if it was ever truly damaged. This experience has been completely unacceptable and ridiculous.

This is a single issue review. This app sometimes sends me notification spam encouraging me to book with them. This is never acceptable.

I’m honestly so disappointed and frustrated with airbnb. Always dirty places and overpriced and every place I have ever stayed has some sort of false advertising of amenities of your rental. The last place I stayed was a Leavenworth Cabin in the woods with hike hosted by muareen. These host are con artists place was dusty, dirty, beds broken and just extremely uncomfortable overall. It was outdated with terrible plumbing smells in every room. We kept losing power as the week went on which I get it’s an older building but you can truly tell they have put in as little money as possible to keep up with simple upkeep. Even though this was probably one of the worst airbnb I stayed at the host was very accommodating at first by letting us have our rehearsal dinner their for the wedding which was just an outdoor bbq we made sure everyone stayed outside unless having to use the restroom. The week went by and honestly was just happy we had a place to stay since it was a very busy weekend. This is where the host wanted to switch up. We left them a 5 star review after spending 3500 dollars for the week in this place but then a week after our review they are now asking for over 2000 dollars in damages. Saying we damaged two year old wood floors and a sliding glass door which was never even used. The floors were chipped damaged and just old in general. I remodel houses and theirs no way these weren’t the original floors put in for a 30 year old house. I’m willing to go to small claims court cause their is no way me and my wife are gonna pay so they can keep the money and not fix anything. I’m going to delete airbnb and switch back to Vrbo or any other site. Airbnb does not hold their host accountable and everything falls back on the renters. Never again will me or any of my friends or family use airbnb they are not worth it.
  • AIRBNB HORRIBLE TREATMENT DURING HURRICANE MILTON

Horrible of airbnb to freeze my account for 24 hours during hurricane Milton because my identity couldn’t be uploaded due to no power!! I have purchased from airbnb before and why they had to upload my ID again during such a traumatic time is beyond me. When I called customer support they were ZERO help!! They wouldn’t unlock my account because their reasoning was “justified” even though I had my ID in hand!! SHAME ON YOU AIRBNB FOR NOT CARING ABOUT THIS CUSTOMER DURING A TROUBLING DAY…..

Messages take forever to load in app. Airbnb Service Fees are way too high. Pictures sent in app are always blurry bc Airbnb is too cheap to send the pic in full resolution and wants to save money at the user expense. Don’t use this app
  • Garbage Can Review

This company just lets anything and everything on. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a garbage container listed for 600 a night, with great reviews and professionally done photos. Your health may be absolutely ruined by staying blindly trusting this rat company.

The worst service EVER. Booked a place and when arrived, it was a in terrible neighborhood. And then the host accused my family and I for damaging the stove and putting hole in the wall. It was already like that when we arrived. I have been working with Airbnb for the past couple months and they said that they will solve the issue without me paying. Now, they are charging me $1400 for damages that I didn’t do.
