I rarely write reviews, but I had to because I love this app so much. The layout is beautifully designed, and a simple to use. I love that there are playlists, but instead of playing music tracks I can play playlist of thematically grouped verses. I love the different voices, because they all bring different weight and it’s nice to change up the voice every now and then to hear the same verse freshly. I also like the different music options and how you can adjust the volumes of the music versus the spoken word.

Unable to sign up or even subscribe on my android. Able to download the app on my iPhone, see Bible scripture but see no way to subscribe to get full benefits of the app.
  • If something works, why do you have to change it or delete it?

I like a lot of people have used this app for years and would even pay for using it. But like a lot of people, I agree if you are looking in one book in chapter and then you go to another why can’t you go back to the other one and not to the main menu to select the book and the verse all over again. And the new one I found it’s really annoying if you want to highlight a verse or passage worse yet you have to click on one of the verses and then you have to select what color you want highlight in then you have to click the window to go away and then if you’re doing a whole passage, you have to do that for each first used to be able to just drag to select passage . Probably no one else but may use, but I really do miss on the audio. You could slow down the narration. I love that I was sick for a long time and didn’t sleep well and I could turn that on and it was Isaiah or a couple of other books and I would just start from verse one and slow down the narration, turn the very low and usually put my phone on my chest and go back to sleep and then I woke many times during the night I could hear or tap on the phone to see what they passage they were reading and go back to it in the morning if I wanted to read that specific passage. It’s kind of the reading sometimes is faster than you would read it if you were reading your own Bible.
  • Paywall for a voice change?

That I can tell, there isn’t an obvious way to access the setting or get a clearer understanding of their subscription than to wish you could hear the Bible in an Irish accent again only to find they now want to make money off of this. Come in y’all. That was weak. David Heath ain’t cutting it and I have to pay per year? Charge me a one time fee if you must - but this subscription craze has gone too far!! Sincerely someone who used to love this app.

Please leave us at the place of our last focus. I’m losing momentum. I want the freedom to come back to where I stopped. And why has auto scroll during audio been stopped? I don’t comprehend how this improves the app.

It seems to have everything the hard copy does. It works quickly making it more enjoyable to use compared with Bible apps which are slower

When I try to directly go to a particular scripture, the app just kicks me to Genesis 1

Edit april 6/24: updating the iOS fixed things Original: App was great. The new update, however, prevents playing in the background. Can you please allow playing in the background (closing phone screen or switching apps) again? Also, even if I leave the app open, eventually my phone screen sleeps and will stop the audio. I would expect the audio player to keep the screen from sleeping if this was an intentional design. Could you please take a look?
