  • Re-enables iCloud backup without asking

Re-enables iCloud backup without asking. However, doing full backups to iTunes has provided a way for me to avoid this and avoid iCloud backups with reasonable convenience, so it’s ultimately avoidable.

This app comes on your phone. I love this app. I can write my stories on it. I have really fun on it. There is nothing I say to fix. I know this is a sort review but it says it all.
  • Flawed & Functional

It gets the job done but it’s incredibly irritating to work with thanks to the poor ui design for it’s purpose, using it on the phone. It’s so bad that I stopped in the middle of using it, just to leave 3 stars & not 4 or 5. For thise who don’t know, UI is is user design. The aggressive, inaccurate, and unrelenting zooming in and out while trying to type and/or navigate the app at all is about the most irritating thing i’ve had to deal with. Way more frustrating than apple’s normal keyborards. They don’t plan on fixing it as I’ve noticed that people have been complaining about this for years before I even downloaded the app. Try out any of the competitors first. The only benefit to this app is that it works well with icloud and apple’s ecosystem. The same one thing that is the only pro with most of apple’s “half-effort” creations.

Honestly love the app. However a recent update included a feature that automatically select a word you typed if you hit the spacebar, then click backspace. The word is deleted if your not watching and begin typing !! For example if I want to change a period into a comma… It drives me nuts. Id love to know if there is a way to change the setting.
  • Ease of use

I used to use another major suite of products and had to pay an annual subscription. I find the FREE Apple suite of software programs to be great! Not only are they FREE, but all the tools and drop down menus are very consistent and easy to use. Plus each program is like working with a huge piece of canvas with NO limitations. I can copy and share components from any program to another and maintain or have them updated between programs. And all the programs can be stored and retrieved from the cloud and works on ALL my Apple devices. Now that’s INCREDIBLE! Why pay for any subscription service or purchase software programs when great ones come FREE with Apple computers and all work very well together?

Surprised for an apple product this thing is buggy as heck. Better off not using this app.
  • Another idiotic Apple-style GUI

There are no words on the menu bar, only inscrutable icons. I can’t figure out how to do anything with this app other than type. It claims it has different paragraph styles, but I have tapped every icon on the screen, and nothing has anything to do with paragraph styles. So forget indents, fonts, headers, line space settings—there’s none of that here. This is basically WordPad, with icons.

I really like Pages and do most of my writing in it. But I can’t get any Pages docs to open since switching to iOS 17.4.

I don’t know why formatting a book using pages has to be so frustrating. It assumes a lot about the way I want the book, which makes it so much harder. Every little move I make creates random blank pages and shifts paragraphs where they shouldn’t be. It’s constantly shifting things I have to go back and fix. I just spent 10 minutes trying to put a paragraph back where it originally was. It’s infuriating. I have a lot of experience with self-publishing books, and pages just makes it more difficult. I preferred the older program from Apple a lot more.
