Instapaper can save. Why not Pocket?

24/4/29 Pocket never really came thru with anything useful or interesting or fun. I would try to read something, and it would usually not be there to read. Now i tried to login and they REQUIRE me to use firefox, which is not a problem, but i can not get past the login screens. Traveling in circles here. Twice is two times more than should be necessary. I finally found a CONTACT prompt, which took me absolutely nowhere. Good programming, people. Nice way to get/keep customers. Where are your collective heads at? I generally try to use once or twice a year, because your rep is so good. Whoops! Guess i have been listening to the wrong people. Will try again. Someday. Maybe.

Can you explain why Pocket is now so dysfunctional? Frequent crashes. And when I reopen the app after a crash, it opens to its homepage which I usually avoid because I don’t need reading suggestions. A nuisance. I’ve used this app for years, mostly happily. What have you done?

Search results disappear.

I've bee using pocket for years after instapaper. Since pocket got taken over by Mozilla it's harder to use and is no longer really cross-platform. It's no longer working in many browsers. Cross-platform is important. It's time to switch -just too frustrating Just installed Omnivore 30 minutes in everything makes sense and works great.

I’m moving all of my saves to another read later service. Pocket constantly crashes and signs me out any time I try to adjust the tags on too many articles in a given time frame. Do you have some wimpy servers that can’t handle tags?

I’ve had Pocket for years, and it’s de-cluttered all my open tabs to read stuff later. It’s easy to use and reliable. However lately I’ve noticed that it no longer saves my place in an article. This was an essential feature and I hope it will be fixed soon!

As of the last update, the text to speech feature is totally broken. but what makes it worse is the ‘contact support’ link is broken, AND the ‘report a problem’ page (linked via the App Store page) is also broken! Come on guys please get it together. Otherwise this app is absolutely amazing 😆

I use the free version. After creating a tag, when I later want to read what I’ve saved under that new tag, it doesn’t exist—the new tag is not on the list of tags. Why? I don’t understand the app any longer. I have A.D.D., and I don’t know if it’s me. It used to be simple to read my tag list. But now I just go around in circles. Please help!

Was once my most-used app by a huge margin, now is thoroughly unusable. Nothing whatsoever to recommend it. Articles are often chopped up so that only the text written in one font appears and the rest is nowhere to be found unless you open it in the browser, which defeats the point of the app. For many, many years, this was not a problem. The main focus of the app now is promoting the worst articles you could ever read- this is now the home page, whereas until the last couple years, it was not part of the app at all.
