  • Popup Blocks Troubleshooting

Sonos App design is absolutely the worst for both S1 and S2 if you have a mix of upgradable and not upgradable products. Both apps immediately create pop ups with no options, that can’t be navigated around for troubleshooting. Infuriating…
  • After upgrade does not connect to my Sonos system.

After upgrade I see blank screen at the bottom where I would control my Sonos speakers. “Recently played” shows an error message “can’t connect”. The app has all the permissions. Reinstalled the app, but still does not work. I have not been able to use my Sonos system for more than two weeks ever since the upgrade came out!
  • Woeful Customer Experience

Just look at how many unhappy customers! I have thousands of dollars of equipment, all completely useless to me. Failing to make the new (also flawed) app backwards compatible was the beginning of the end of Sonos, and now for me at least, nothing connects or works with either app. Sonos like to blame you and your internet but surely for the amount these units cost you could have created a user friendly product that is intuitive? I have spent many hours attempting to reset up after moving home and using the fabulous Eero MESH network and I have now officially Given up. Just waiting now for a Sonos competitor to deliver what I need before reinvesting. All I want is a 3-6 speaker system, linked across my house seamlessly and the ability to play music from Spotify. Is there anything out there?

Not sure what happened to this latest version. Why did they take out the sleep timer? Also, they redid the entire interface and now I don’t know where anything is! WTH? To make it even worse, their support notes says maybe it’ll be available in a future version of the app. Please bring the previous version back with the sleep timer!

Thanks for replacing a flawed, but at least functional app with garbage. I’m motivated to move to google pod now

I have had Sonos in my home since 2014. Why take away ALARMS ?? Why take away all the controls for my home theater speakers??? Updates should add new features. Not take away previous functionality!! Get it together Sonos!!

I’d give this a -10 stars if I could. Such great hardware in the speakers limited by this pathetic app with software coded by a 12 yr old. Get some actual coders Sonos and fix you’re abysmal software that turns your thousand dollar speakers into fancy bricks.

With this new update I’m not able to add songs to queue. If this is the case I’m very disappointed.
  • Software updates fail

I’ve been very disappointed in Sonos for the last year or so. Every update has failed, and I can’t use my Sonos as a wireless system. Each update seems to create more problems than solving for the last nine months. I wake up in the morning, unplug my router, and replug the router so that the Sonos will reset. The most recent update, which I hoped would fix the problem, actually worsened it. There is no resetting with the reboot of my router. Now, tech support. It tells me I have to hardwire my Sonos to the router so that it’ll function. After a year of problems, I will never buy another Sonos product. There are plenty of decent companies out there. Unfortunately, Sonos can’t get its firmware straight, and I have suffered from it.
