  • Best way to see Hawaii

We just finished 2 weeks in Hawaii and we used the Shaka Guide almost every day, with excellent results. The guiding was almost perfect and we were really happy we bought it. Pros - the app gave a nice balance of: - great narration - routes choose interesting locations to visit - well-timed directions that made it easy to get the correct turn - stories of history local to where we were driving (family-friendly, without talking down to us) - humor - music Cons: - Sometimes we missed what the narrator was saying, but we found if we backed up 30 seconds, the directions would get out of sync to where we were. When that happened, the narrator might start a story, which got cut off to tell to turn or it missed giving the turn. - It sometimes got confused if we started a route in the middle, even if we followed all the steps (use Google/Apple Maps to get on-route).

Thank you so much for this guide. Enjoyed listening and learning about Big Bend while driving thru, looking at overlooks and hiking. Will use this guide at other national parks on your apps.

This was a wonderful way to see Oahu as a family. The stops were well coordinated and the narration and directions were superior! Worked well with Apple CarPlay. Highly recommend renting a car for a day and seeing the island. We did a bus tour as well, but nothing compares to this experience! Thank you; Mahalo! I can’t wait to visit another beautiful place and use this app again.
  • Get the full island pack for Maui

This absolutely made our Road to Hana experience a million times better. We ended up getting the full Maui pack of trips for only an extra $10 and if you’re planning on exploring the West Maui Mountains or Haleakala at all you absolutely must get the full pack too. Full of amazing recommendations, whether that be scenic points, great beaches, great caves/blow holes, spots to eat/stop and the best part was learning about the history of the islands and culture

Well worth the time. We have been to Oahu many times but this tour took us places we haven’t seen before. If you have an overcast day or are just tired of the beach this tour was great!

My husband and I agreed within the first 5 min of using the app that it was awesome. We would have missed so many beautiful spots without this app! It’s the best way to tour the island of Kauai and learn more about where you are visiting. I will be buying for the other islands we are visiting - worth every penny and more!

I was skeptical… was pretty certain I was just throwing $20 at the window. But we purchased the classic Hannah road trip. It was worth every second I was with my husband and 318-year-old boys and all of us enjoyed it. Great information make sure you download it before you leave because you will lose cell service but it did a great job of keeping up with where we were on the road as well as giving us lots of great history and tips

On the Road to Hana, we listened to the entire audio. the information and stories made our adventure very enjoyable. Would highly recommend. Loving the first Shaka audio, we purchased the audio to Key West. We had a question and sent a message on Easter Sunday. The question was answered that day. Traveling to Key West with Shaka gave us a better appreciation of the culture of the Keys and great places to stop. On our next trip, we hope to have a Shaka audio available.

The audio tour paired with your gps is a gem, since the tour can tell where you are and guide you from your current location to the next lookout point. The tour also plays music and stories/facts about Kauai along your drive….not to mention guiding you through the turns from the beginning to the end of the drive and then back down again.
