Love this series! Can we get some cities that would have more people of color please? Tokyo (Japan), Cape Town (South Africa), and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) come to mind!

Last time I played an “in-app purchase” game—admittedly quite a while ago—it meant you could play, but had the option of acquiring more goodies (hints, gold, time, special scenes, etc) by paying extra, or at least that you had a chance to play a lot before being shut out. In this game, you get just a couple of scenes and games, all very easy, before you have to pay up. I wasn’t even able to tell whether the game would get harder and more fun and be worth paying for. The graphics are pretty good, though, and it looks like it has potential.

I loved the first Dark City, the second one was good, but this one I’m very disappointed in. The hidden object scenes were good, but the game was way too easy and really short. It was no challenge at all to find the morphing objects, in fact they were all the same. The depth of the first Dark City is definitely missing which is a real shame.

Once again, Friendly Fox provided us with a magical and enchanting game, with a novel storyline which revolved around Irish superstition and leprechauns. The bonus chapter provided an interesting addition with the legend of the banshees. The graphics were magnificent, and each time you found enough clues you would make a deduction and learn more of the plot, furthering your progress through the game. This was a lengthy game, with a plethora of enjoyable tasks to accomplish at each location. Every location contained a collectible shamrock and a morphing object. We were provided with a terrific mix of puzzles/games, including a labyrinth, and codes to decipher, which are my favorite types of puzzles. However there was a puzzle for everyone! The HO scenes had a nice variety, and each was storyline-specific. I didn’t want this game to end, because it was amazing. The only negative I encountered was a lack of touchscreen sensitivity on the gameplay interface, which meant a bit of difficulty using certain inventory items. However it wasn’t constant and did not affect my enjoyment of the game. Players, this is a must-purchase game. If you love folklore and puzzles this game is going to thrill you. After you finish the bonus chapter and have found all collectibles there is a leprechaun/fairy chess game to play. Very original! Gamers, just enjoy it. I do not know when we shall see another game from Friendly Fox. We can only pray that it’s sooner rather than later. Happy gaming, and stay safe, my friends!

I was truly excited to find that the next chapter of the Dark City series was located in Ireland. Ireland is where both my great (x3) grandparents were began and ended their lives. Kerry and Cork respectively. As always I love the deductive reasoning, and analysis which make the game truly unique, but the fact that only two of the characters had Irish accents was truly a miss and very disappointing for me. I would also have loved to hear more Irish music in the background. So, this is why I only gave it 4 stars as attention to detail is very important in these type of games.
