When 1Password went to cloud database only, I was devastated. Thankfully I quickly found Strongbox and have never looked back. Have been using exclusively for a year or two now and it works exactly as I wanted. Thank you Strongbox Team!

This is the best password manager there is. Not much else to say :)

Syncs with iCloud and works across all my devices.

I click support on the website and it brings me to a helpdesk that tells me to copy debug information but doesn't give me an address to send it to.

I used to have the open-source password keeper app that this piece of software is related to, but I decided to buy this one to have the same app on all my iOS devices and MacOS machines. It has proven to be a great app, works perfect with iCloud storage and has never let me down yet. Seems to get regular updates and bugfixes by the developer too. Well worth the price of a "lifetime" license when I bought it!

Discovering Strongbox was a godsend that marks all the important factors for a great password app: security, syncing (no company-proprietary service required), fantastic Keepass base with a real sync conflict resolution for a Keepass database, multiple database support, faceID/touchID unlock, great user-friendly UI, Mac/iOS device support, actively developed, lightweight and rock solid stable app, and an awesome and affordable 1-time purchase license option. Moving away from the 1Password and Enpass has never been easier!

After another major password database application removed the ability to self-host a database, I started looking for an alternative. I reviewed many and Strongbox was the only one I found that met all my criteria. - self host the database locally or on my iCloud. - a well developed modern interface with all the necessary features, but without unecessary features such as sharing. - a developer that uses open source and open technologies/standards. - a developer that invokes trust. - an application that doesn't make calls to the developers server, confirmed with a firewall. Strongbox is an excellent password manager. I highly recommend it.

I previously only used keepass on mutliple windows boxes and have successfully migrated to a hybrid mac/ios/windows environment. I use iCloud to sync my password store to all of my devices. The capability to use multiple factors to login to the password vault is much appreciated. This works great, i use the 2FA generator and can access it securely everywhere I need it. No internet is needed to access my passwords. With the iOS family license everyone can have their own password vault or using file sharing (iCloud, etc.) two people can share a password vault.

I've been a long time user of Strongbox on my iPhone and decided to give it a try on my Mac. I'm glad I did. In many ways it's better than than the iOS version - mostly due to the luxury of more space for the UI. I ended up with Strongbox because it was one of the first iOS password apps to integrate Yubikey the right way, and the 2FA strength of a key I wear around my neck can't be beat. The app continues to improve and when there is an issue or problem (mostly caused by cloud providers or OS updates), it's addressed right away.
