    Starting out, I was skeptical. I didn’t really believe that a app could make me feel so present. The meditation class really clear my mind. The breath work class was intriguing and a challenge, but in a fun way. I found myself actually amazed by the end of the class. Mind you this is only my first class and I don’t know if all classes will have the same affect on me. So simply based off of first impressions it’s a five star review.

    The in-depth, longer breathwork sessions are gone. Very few classes over 15 minutes and you have to hunt in the app for them. Open can do better - enhance the search functionality so that users can easily find what they’re looking for.

    Genuinely I look forward to taking deep breaths and practicing mindfulness. The app is stunning and I love allll of the different practices it provides.
  • It’s like Calm…but worse

    The instagramification of mindfulness. The app is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing but I am having a hard time to find actual certified practioners. It feels all looks, no substance. The quiet in the app is too quiet, making meditations hard to fully immerse in when you’re jumping at the next time the “teacher” jumps in after long periods of silence. It appears hard to actually see the full catalog of what they have, especially sound, and feels more like a social media app than something to actually help with one’s mindfulness for a long period of time.

    This is a decent app, I enjoy it mostly, but I can’t get over the irritating grating sound of the breathing - often much louder than the actual speaker. Ruins the whole experience - use a bell or something or make the breathing sounds much lower volume

    I was attracted to this app from the James Blake ad and the music. So far the meditation and morning yoga is perfect. For the first time I am not in my head thinking “am I almost done?” Olivia is so soothing. We unintentionally adopted a stray cat who is driving me crazy and I discovered he likes the meditations. I out on Olivia’s meditation after I’m done (or yoga class)and he calms right down…it’s wild. Only issue is on Instagram they are saying you get a 30 day trial. I followed the link and was only given a 2 week trial…..so be careful and make sure you get your full 30 days. I’ve reached out to Customer support and haven’t received a reply.
